I'm currently looking at getting a FLEX carry bag. They are a bit pricey and wanting to see if those who have it, really like it?

If not, is there a better solution you'd recommend for the Flex an about 6 hybrid 5" pads?

I know they were bundled for a while there but I got this one without one.

thanks for your helpful comments! Feed back please

My little review of it:

Exterior Appearance

The measurements of this bag are approximately:
  • 17.5 inches Length
  • 8 inches Width
  • 11 inches Height

The colour of the bag is black and features the FLEX logo across the length of the bag.

The material for this bag's outside seems to be a Canvas Nylon which is very durable.

The bag opens from the top "head of the bag"

A downside perhaps is that the outside does not have any additional storage pouches/pockets...its merely just what's inside the bag.

Interior Appearance

This bag features a silvery vinyl interior that is collapsible if there is nothing inside.

There are no additional zippers inside the bag to carry stuff, however the people at FLEX do provide straps surrounding the interior of the bag to rest various detailing tools (brushes, etc)

This bag is large enough to fit the FLEX itself, the cording of the FLEX...and I personally even store a few of my buffing pads in there.

Closing Words

All in all, I want to thank FLEX for making a great...but not phenomenal bag. It does the job but receives a "B" as an overall grade (could've been an "A" with more storage options) but it still does the job no doubt!

Thanks for reading this and hope you enjoy your FLEX bag!

Sincerely,

Alex

Bag itself is great. The zipper is terrible. But, if its free, there is no better bag than that

Personally, I don't like it. Crappy zipper design. The big thing is the bag is not long enough. It causes the cord to bend hard coming out of the machine, which is a sure-fire recipe for failure down the road. I don't zip mine up and have the handle stick out of the top so I don't harm the cord. There's no pockets inside either that I can recall.

I think I may have just thrown my out...I'll have to look around and see.

I like my Flex bag and carry both my Flex 3401 and Flex PE14-2-150 in it with plenty of room.

My bag over to the left.

LOL! Bob, your tools are waaaaaaaaaay to clean! :D

I like it, best thing about it is the insulation, which for me means on a hot day, my few bottles of polish don't boil in the 100+ degrees of heat. Most of the time even after several hours in my trunk, they're still "room temperature.

Downside is, the plastic liner separated from the top after a while, and +1 on the cord having to make a hard bend from the unit when it is stored inside.

HAHA!! Good one Chad!! :props:

That is an older photo but they're still pretty clean compared to my first polisher... I wipe them down at the end of the day to keep ahead of the game...

More miles on this one than I care to remember...

If you still have it, I'd trade you something for it. :xyxthumbs:

I go mobile more than I like to and have a habit of overloading my Flex bag.

I hate going mobile so if I still have it you can just have it for free!

I'll be at the shop tomorrow so I'll look around and see if it's still on the shelf. :props:

I agree with Rich. Also the shoulder strap isnt removable. I have a Contractor grade Dewalt Tool Bag that blows it away! I got it on Amazon.

My gripe with the bag is a lack of pockets and useless velcro partitions. On the plus side, it can hold a flex and a da with pads and polishes - just not organized.

Received it today! Already stocked with the flex and pads/polish.

If you'd like, PM me your paypal and I will at least reimburse you for the postage! Thank you very very much for your generosity. :props:
