I had some mf towels that did the same thing... and wouldn't stop! I bought a product called Retayne from the local fabrics store (Michael's, I think) and it did the trick. It's specifically made for fabrics that bleed and bleed and...
If you can't find it locally, it's available through Amazon.com. It was super cheap too. I think a bottle of it cost only $4.95.
 
Turtlewax swirl remover... used it once, and found it quite difficult to use... a while later I bought a handful of Mothers products, and then started stocking up on Meguiars... Haven't used it since..

To be fair, my Megs stuff has left my Mothers 3 step rather redundant... but I do use the wax on occasion when I'm displaying the car...

I also have UNO, while it does not do as claimed I find it works good for light stuff and I use it as a final on my headlight recondition and as a paint cleaner. I do not have any MF correction pads at this time, but it seems to work for most other people better with MF vice foam.

Their SPEED is great though! I also have Poxy and its great. I am going to get a 16oz of the new ADAPT,, its supposedly a upgrade and better compound for heavier stuff. also ahve cut and polish, lambs wool and MF pads on the to get list.
 
Blackfire Clay Cleaner and Extender - made every clay bar iused it with to crumble.

CG Diablo Wheel Cleaner - all hype. using as a diluted regular maintenance cleaner now

Optimum Polishes - I've had too many bottles seperate and been unable to remix them

TW light blue clay - hard as a rock

Mother's Fade to Black - junk

Carpro Snow Soap - never once seen any bleeding effect even when sprayed directly on dirty wheels. I use it as a degreasing soap now and hope it is actually removing some iron particles.

WEN 4" cordless polisher - thought it would be good to apply sealants and waxes. Batteries were awful and looked like they were made in 1950's North Korea.

Werkstat's Carnuba Prime & Jett - unbearable oily holograms

Lexol leather twins - same complaints as everyone else. Found smell offensive

LC Glass corrective discs - never got my windshield to look right afterwards. Extremely aggresive.

Diamondite products - windshield protectant did nothing. the liquid clay cleans welll but those 3m scour pads will mar the hell out of the glass. I use it with a magic eraser now.
 
Moonshine tire Dressing. Paid $70 plus shipping of $20 for 5 gallons of this crap. Half of it is solvent so it evaporates easily, and when it's in the spray bottle it starts leaking out the top when it's hot, it goes on greasy, it doesn't spread well, it looks like crap after a couple days and it's probably not good for your tires. I have never bought such a sh**ty product in all my life. Next time I buy Moonshine, it won't the tire dressing!

Yes, us new guys need a post on "best purchases". Money is tight so I can't really put together a big order. That leaves me buying OTC. Probably my big mistake right there.

Have a 2006 Pilot (gold metallic) with leather interior and a 2008 Vibe (silver metallic). Both are daily drivers parked outside in the harsh hollywood, fl. sun 24/7 (and parked under huge oak trees to make matters worse). More interested in protection than show car finish (but not looking for a coating at this time). Need the full gamut from rock chip repair to light tree branch scrathes...and in particular, know nothing about interior care products and stuff for exterior plastic trim.

The Cobra Waffle Weave Glass Towel. Supposedly great for glass because "Microfiber is designed to never shed lint". In fact they do leave a thin carpet of white lint, always.
 
Chemical guys butter wet wax, maybe it works on toast, only using collinite 845 love it.
 
My first detail order ever was a pre-assembled kit from CG. $180 worth which I would have swapped in a heart beat for use at Autogeek. I'm trying to think of something positive to say about the kit, I guess it's the grit guards it included.
 
A starter detailing kit. Some products still sitting on the self dont even. Spent way to much $$$.

Really, is it that bad? I was thinking of trying that thing on top of some chips I filled with touch up paint to bring it up to the level of the clear. Does it just make a mess?
 
Not recently purchased, but Armor All is the worst, as everyone knows.
 
Duragloss 271. Does NOT work on black textured trim, leaves a white streaky finish. Tried the product about 10 different times and all produced the same results. I actually called Autopia-Carcare and got a replacement since I thought the bottle I had was expired but sure enough the new bottle also produced the same results.
 
Most regretted: Drying Blade. It works on glass, but it has great potential to scratch paint. Mine presented minor tears after 2 - 3 uses.

Most regretted here, by far.
