Say you were doing a two step, can d151 take the place of 205 after 105
In that way it'd be similar to their mf system where the second step is an aio

Sounds like a plan.

Test spot will reveal true answer.

Mikey P. says to find something you like - and use it often. There are very few "must follow" rules in paint correction.

D151 is slightly more aggressive than 205, and depending on pad selection, will get the job done. http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum.../19746-very-comprehensive-compound-chart.html

I no longer use Meg products, but their new metal polishes look promising.

It can, but I had trouble getting d151 to finish out nicely on soft paint with a white polishing pad.

I wonder if D151 uses SMAT or DAT technology. I have used D151 and felt that it SMAT being the product never seems to have a break down time.

I really do not know, however I have crossed the m105 correction compound with the red microfiber pad also from meguiars. It does a pretty good job in less time

It should work... However, there is no definitive answer for all paint systems. Test spot is your best bet. D151 uses SMAT just like M105/205.

D151 uses SMAT there was a thread on the meguiars SMAT products somewhere.
