Needed to put some protection on my Enclave before the snow starts to fly. Didn't need much for correction so I started with XMT 360 AIO and topped it with the Klass high gloss sealant. I applied the KSG with a small 2oz spray bottle and the blue microfiber applicator that comes with Klasse Kit. The bottle says that it takes an average of 2oz per vehicle but after applying a thin layer to the entire vehicle (all painted surfaces and lower plastic body panels) I had only used approx. 3/4oz. The layer I applied is just barely visible and wiped away with ease after resting 45 minutes? Is this normal or do you guys actually use 2oz on a vehicle? I plan to add another layer or two but it seemed odd that 3/4oz was all that it took to coat a vehicle of this size
That's exactly perfect. With KSG, if you can almost see it disappearing into the paint as you work it in, you've got it right.
I use to use 1 ounce of KSG on a Lexus LS400, but that was without a spray bottle, so sounds like you're doing great.
One thing I used to do with Klasse that might help you, once I'd done the whole vehicle, I'd start doing just wo or three panels at a time, making sure to get them as perfect as I could. Sometimes even just one. With a waterless wash, you can clean a panel, KSG it, and it doesn't take long at all. Hood, roof, trunk deck, then start around the sides. Eventually, had more than 3 coats.
KSG really pops after about the 3rd coat - not sure why, but foudn that to be consistently true, and others reported it as well. The accepted process with AIO and KSG was AIO x2 (for complete coverage and cleaning), and then KSG x3.
