Short Take Duragloss 501

I have a new SUV in white and Duragloss products really make it look good. I am especially starting to like their QD, Fast Clean and Shine. Because the car had perfect paint when I bought it (a German paint called "Diamond White", supposedly layered five times - or so they say), I decided to skip 501 and went directly with 105. 501 claims to have more cleaning power but after claying (which it really did not need), I went directly to 105 which has only a mild cleaning ability. I used the 601 bonding agent as well. The 105 made the white paint slick as could be.

Since that initial process, I have done it one more time but substituted 111 for 105. 111 is said to be a pure sealant with very little cleaning ability. I think the 111 looks even better than the 105! As long as the paint stays in good shape, from now on I plan on skipping 501 entirely and just using 105 for the light cleaning topped by 111 and then topped and maintained by 901.

Fast clean and shine works very well but you need to try DG932 mixed as a QD. That stuff really leaves a slick finish and gets Aqua Waxed at the same time at less cost. The only problem I have had with it is streaking on the hood of very dark vehicles and only noticed on the Hood. Yours is white so that should not occur.

Thanks for the tip. I use 932 all the time but never thought of using it as a QD. I do that with ONR and like it a lot as a QD but I will have to try 932 to compare. What is the ratio of water to 932 for the QD?

3oz. to 16oz. water.

I noticed aqua spray wax to streak really bad on red and dark colored cars aswell. Also attracts alot of dust.

Cut that in half if you want to eliminate streaking. 1.5oz to 16oz water or 3oz to 32oz. water. If you like the recommended ratio then cut down your panel sections. I'm still using it 3oz to 16oz distilled water but spray smaller sections and have reduced streaking. :)

I have gone down to 1/2oz. to 16, tried different towels, still streaks on this hood. I only see it on this particular hood tho. The usual is doing 1/2 the hood at a time. I will try cutting it into fourths and see what happens. My only other way I have found around this with using a DG product is to use Fast and Clean on the hood and 932 QD on the rest of the vehicle. I am using soft water at the house, I will have to try distilled and see if there is a difference. Like I said it is only on the hood that I see this, no other streaks noticed on the car and this particular color is Ford Twilight Blue Metallic.
