Hey there, if you have a specific OPC ratio that you use, please share what the ratio is, and where you apply it to.

Thanks!

This will be real helpful considering im about to try this stuff out :)

3:1 is the test bed. No waste and you'll know if you need more or less dilution...suits most jobs.

1:1 heavy degreasing, or to pretreat a panel to remove LSP prior to washing the panel.

5:1 works good on bugs and lower panels...but will remove LSP sometimes. Be sure to at least follow with ONR or OID afterwards.

10:1 is a good spotter, but needs to be rinsed.

You should avoid tint edges and headliners as any dilution will degrade adhesives.

Guess we got the best info we could right from the horses mouth!!
Thanks Chris

So Chris, first of all thanks for your response! It's going to help out a lot of people, myself included.

But when you say 3:1 for example, if I had a Kwazar Spray Bottle, does this ratio mean that I fill it up 3 quarters with water and one quarter with OPC?

Also, do you recommend shaking it once all liquids are in?

Thanks!

Another way to look at it is:

3:1 is also expressed as:

3 parts water
1 part product

Bottle = 32 ounces

32/4 = 8

Water = 24 ounces
Product = 8 ounces

Tim, this is a great link and one everyone should bookmark for quick and accurate answers...

bump - thanks Chris - that helps a lot

I like to give the dilutions as a ratio so that no matter where you are you can use that unit of measure. 1:3 means 1 part Power Clean + 3 parts water for 4 total units. For example 8oz PC + 24oz water = 32oz total for a 1:3 ratio filling a quart bottle.
