I give up detailing cars GOOD BYE

Hey man, I know how you feel. I tried detailing the interior of my car the other day, and with the sun and cold weather, the products wouldn't even make a dent in the grime... I really need to rent a garage.. By the way, good luck doing the interior outside too. lol :joking:

I woke up this morning and had planned to detaill my car since the weather was going to be nice so i thought. the sun wouldn't budge at all i was better off washing it yesterday in the cold weather. I was going to wash, polish and then wax Everything sucked i wanted to apply polishing compound and when i didnt it wasnt aplying easily then after i polished the car i didn't notice much improvement either. Which i why i said f putting wax i give up ill just keep the interior clean and that's all :nomore:
at least put a paint sealent before you give up that way in a few months you wont be totally screwed when you decide to come back to life and continue your hobby..

some times things can be harder then you think but that doesnt mean you quit and runn away pouting like a 8yr old girl, learn from your problems and find a solution to making them better like renting out part of a tinting shop for detailing etc,

i know what frustration feels like example just yeaterday i pulled in a car with a lil damage that needed some tending to heres some pics they speak louder then words

now this takes patience and sometimes when im haveing trouble with a dent its best to step away and come back later, take a vacation but never quit...

on another thought i rented a shop for 800 a month then i found i was biting off more then i could chew,so in my shop i do chrome plating hydro graphics sprayable body wraps details paint and body and sell cars it was way to much for one person,so i ended up selling everything but the paint an body an detail stuff and renting the spaces where the equiptment is chrome stuff etc and now my rent is 400 a month and hell i polish out one car and it pays that!

there is always a way...

'Lil damage'??
Looks like it was parked in a golf driving range!
Nice work indeed.

Now everything makes sense!

I think you need to spend a little more time on this site, hard to get anything good to happen by hand (without a machine), and it's hard to get anything good to happen with Turtle Wax polishing compound, period. Take a little time to understand the basics and perhaps try some clay and a good OTC cleaner wax or at least something that you have a chance of working by hand, like Meguiar's Ultimate Compound or Ultimate Polish, before going to your (Turtle) wax.

turtle wax? thats like buying cheap beer and expecting fine wine..
every little thing you do makes a difference if i were in your shoes id at least pick up a 29 buck rotory from harbor freight just to get by and a wool pad and black foam pad remember swirl marks are created by heat so keep it slow on the final pass,

just a thought to get away from the swirls 3m makes a waffle pad that allows air through the pad as you buff to keep it cooler in order to prevent swirls to save you money try getting a regular foam pad and slicing it with a blade to allow air to go through it,heres some pics

you will be so much better in the long run starting out with a rotory..

Cya.......I don't blame you, for a daily driver it's kinda a wasted effort.........just drive it.
