Looked at a low mileage Miata, very angry

Just like the title says, I went to look at a 2010 Miata with the touring package, and 3800 miles. The car is red(not my favorite color) swirled all to hell, and the nose of the car needs to be repainted, it looks like someone slid under a bumper in front of them. I'm really frustrated because I was told the car was mint,and the dealership I went to is a very high end dealership. I know dealers don't know the difference between mint and shitty paint, I just figured with the caliber of inventory they sell, they might know the difference, or employ someone that knows how to buff a car. I'm just ranting here, because I really liked the idea of the car, better than the actual car itself. They said they would send it to the bodyshop on Monday, we'll see if they actually do it, and how it comes out. I guess at the end of the day, I just want to know how the p.o. Could butcher the paint in only 3800 miles? The wax caked all over it looks fun to remove also. Thanks for listening:xyxthumbs:
 
Umm if you don't like it move on and buy a cleaner car? What are you angry about? It's nothing new that dealerships don't know (or care about) the difference between a swirl and a squirrel and a clean car vs. a pos with a 5 minute quick wax job $3 at the gas station.
 
Lol I know, low mileage Miatas aren't in big supply around here at reasonable prices. I'm mad about the day I wasted looking at a car that didn't show like a 3800 mile should

Consider it a blessing in disguise . Maybe the car has more miles than that. Walk away and keep looking
 
Miatas are just a small economy car with driven rear wheels and a ragtop. People treat them anywhere from beater to show car. I've got a 2001 and I've seen the whole range.

One thing I wouldn't sweat on a miata is the mileage. They are mechanically solid cars with cheap repair parts and they're easy to work on.

I'd be mad too if I wasted a day window shopping for a car, any car, that was falsely advertised
as this Miata seemingly had been...At a high-end dealership, no less!!! How dare they!!!

If it were me...
I'd seize this moment to jump up&down on this high-end dealership with both feet
and stomp the living snobby-ness out of them.

-I've faced this same situation upteen-times over the course of my window-shopping career...
regardless of the advertised consumer product that had caught my interest/fancy.

-I have found the best first-line of action to initially take was to contact my
local ombudsman that either works at a newspaper or TV station.
(They must protect the identity of the whistle-blower.)
I figure: Let them air my problem and face any litigation that comes forward from
my antagonists...alleged, or otherwise.

Side Bar:
-Why even once I submitted a report to said local ombudsman of what
I considered a wasted day I spent window shopping with my Wife.
Not only was this incident reported on the local TV evening news...I was refered to an excellent
divorce attorney whose advice led to my having to no longer bear the heavy burden of
window shopping for, and with...falsely advertised goods/services.

Of course...This posting of mine only contains suggestions for a few possibe corrective actions.
-But I'd definitely divorce myself from this particular dealership.

Also...I'm so sick&tired of us: 'Regular' John Q. Public-folks...Being unduly patronized by the
high-end folks of the World...
-Including the ones with their noses held so high, that they live in fear of drowning, from hearing rain predictions.

Go get 'em, I say!! If you so desire, that is.

Has anyone actually had a dealership tell them a car is less than perfect?
