What strength are people mixing Meg's orange APC For exterior presoak before washing????

I used 10:1 on a very, very dirty stained car today, after rinsing. Then went around with Dawn wash and a sponge

I know some guys do this, but I've seen megs apc do some funky stuff to paint and trim. The problem occurs when apc dwells too long or streaks down panels. I try to keep apc off paint as much as possible. I wet adjascent panels when doing engines and door jams, and rinse off overspray asap.

Every once in a while megs apc will stain paint badly enough that it will need to be polished out. It's very rare, but it can happen.

+1 i wouldn't use apc+ or apc on the exterior at all. i use CG citrus shampoo if i need to strip old wax on a car

Are you going to do any kind of polishing work after washing?

Use a cleaner/wax?
Use a compound?
Use a medium, or fine or ultra fine polish?
Use a non-abrasive pre-wax paint cleaner?

If using any of the above, they will effectively remove anything a normal wash job doesn't remove plus it saves you a step plus you're working forward in your process.

+2. It did it to my moms truck and I had to polish it out.

I bought the green and orange Meg's APC .

It's not a waste, you can always use APC . I use it to clean my house too. Works great. If you don't want to pick up CG CWG then just use dawn.

Might want to think about iron x or iron cut for decontamination too.

My mother has bmw that stuff sticks to. It will no come of with reg washing. I shouldnt have to clay the car once a week . I was looking for something that eat that dirt up first.

The car has BMW life time sealant .
Apparently the BMW lifetime sealant only works if you return to BMW periodically for reapplication over the car's lifetime. Typical dealership BS.

Wash, clay, polish and apply a real "life of the paint" coating such as Opti-Coat.

I use P21s TAW after a traditional two bucket wash to help in the decontamination process on extremely neglected vehicles. This product is TUV safe but I still only allow it to dwell for a few minutes. YMMV but I haven't experienced any problems and it does a great job.

The cars is a lease. Maybe I will wax it next week and see.
