Money spent on Autogeek website

Who wears the pants?:righton:

Looking for some pants to wear in the laundry, my wife threw me her jeans.
I looked at her and said, you know I can't wear those........
she said....and don't you forget it either!

She buys shoes, purses and clothes, I don't say a word, sees a box with AGO on it, she says going to be in the garage for a while?

You know how that line is supposed to go, right?

You say; I can't get in your pants.

She says; And if you don't stop spending hours a day and hundreds of dollars a month on AG you will NEVER get in my pants again! Im the MAN

(just couldn't resist that one) ROTFL

Hey Guys,

Since July 2011, when I made my initial order for my new shop, around the $16,000 mark but that got me everything I needed from chemicals, buffers, pads and tools and so forth.

Bout thirty-three hundred dollars in a thirty month period.

Much more than what I was able to do on side.... lol.... but it's a hobby anyway..
Probably more than $1.1k over the last year on AG around + another $0.8k over the web and another $1k with shipping and taxing as I live in Brazil.... about it... can't remember for sure.

This thread has funny timing, because I saw you post photos of your collection the other day and thought, "I wonder how much that cost him?"

I've spent $1400 since Dec 2010. I love it when my wife finds Autogeek open in a tab on my iPad and asks me "now what are you buying from that place?". If I tell her I am just looking, she just shakes her head.

Well we better add just short of 80 more pieces and another $445.00 today.

BOY do I wish I had a credit card and I'd pop for a FLEX! (stopped using them when I retired) ;)

About $ 410 dollars. THe best purchase I made was OptiCoat. Once I did my car with OptiCoat, I am saving a lot more money than you guys!

Seriously, You guys need to dial it back. How much can you really spend on this stuff, unless you have a business? You could be putting this money toward savings , retirement, or your kids college fund.

This is a fun thread, but some of you guys have some serious spending problems. Slow down.

About 1k over a period of a few years. I spent the most when I bought my PC and all the supplies for it. Not bad compared to a lot of you guys lol.

Yup, I think that is what happened to a lot of us when moving from doing stuff by hand, or in my case getting rid of older, weaker, DA's to something that'll actually do the work for ya'. (Rather than just buff of a coat of wax)

I'm not one for a dozen different waxes and 5 or 6 lines of compounds and polishes. However, with 5 cars here plus 3 more that I have to do (the in-laws) it takes a lot of pads if nothing else.

Was talking with the wife today about ordering enough 'Opti' to do her mom's 2012 Versa and dad's older S-10 that just sits outside 24/7. They are far too old to do anything to cars these days and it's killing me to see the cars just sit in the weather.

Papa has a 29 A-Model, (single stage paint) that I'm going to get out of the garage come spring and spend a good week or two on. Neat old ride that he did a complete restoration on some 20 years ago and has been neglected since. It'd be a neat project and great learning experience along the way. Paint isn't anything that I could hurt no matter what as he's let it go other than washing and wiping down the last 6 years or so.

Now that I think of it this is gonna' cost me (aka give to AG) a ton more money.

I don't even want to know. I'm not sure about the total in equipment and supplies but the three classes I have attended cost about $2000 each for class, air fare and hotel/meals. I probably average $100 every two weeks plus what I spent on polishers.

LOL It really adds up quick. You can probably add another $1000.00 to each one of those classes purchasing new tools and supplies you can no longer do without. :buffing:
