Foam Cannon Process HELP

You bet Mike, and Dani. I was glad to share even though it didn't help Dani with a solution. I figured someone else may need the breakdown as well. That's the main reason I posted it, because seeing how his cannon was coating the car it appeared that there was another causal factor for it not producing thick foam. But, gotta do process of elimination.
If the cannon is assembled and working like it should I would have to say the only solution is using a softer and or cleaner source of water, or using less water/more soap in the dispensing bottle.
The only other thing I can point to that could be an issue with the foam cannon is the mixing valve. With my cannon if I turn the knob to produce more foam then it seems that there is minimal water mixed with the foam therefore very minimal water on the vehicle. In Lim3's pic it appears that possibly there is more water being allowed through the cannon when dialing in for more foam. Just an observation.
Also, thanks for not blasting me for misspelling cannon. Predictive text kept giving me Canon and I kept selecting canon. Silly English. :)

I thought my softer machine was working this whole time but turns out its not working properly.

So its a toss up between the water and cannon

Shaun, would I still be able to use it effectively by adding less water in the mix ? What I don't understand it my foam gun works well ?
I still have a feeling it could possibly be the cannon itself.

If you keep everything the same, that is same soap and same water, and your Foam GUN creates tons of suds but your Foam CANNON does not, then to me it sounds like the problem is with the Foam Cannon.

When you last used your Foam Gun was your water softener working properly, to the best of your knowledge? Also, like Mike was stating, do you normally use the same ratio in the foam gun that you have been using in the foam cannon? If you are using the same amount of soap but more water in the cannon dispenser then that may obviously be an issue/factor. Also, post some close-up pics of your cannon if you can.

That's what I'm thinking. I will post a pic of how my foam gun works later this week and show you guys how it works.

It hasn't been working properly the past few months apparently.

I put about 2-3oz on the foam guy depending the soap.
The cannon I used about 4-5 oz when tried it put for the second time a few days ago. That when I reported on the forums asking about it.
I used CG honeydew / maxi suds. Both gave me the same turnout
 
I passed by AG and picked up a small order along with a replacement cannon from nick.
I will be sending back my old one as soon as I get the ship label.

NOW you have SUDS! Looks like all the frustration has worked out in the end.:xyxthumbs:
 
Glad you got one that's properly working now. I am still curious why your first one wasn't working right. Guess Nick or the foam cannon manufacturer can figure it out. Just glad it was resovled properly for you by AG. One thing I will never knock is AG customer service.:)

Great! I didn't get sick, so it was awesome; it's quite uncommon for anyone to go to India and not get sick.

And then I get back to Gainesville... and get sick :nomore:

Got to tour India though and saw many palaces and the Taj Mahal; all in all one of the best trips I've ever had to India :)

Wow sounds like an awesome trip man.
Minus the getting sick part haha.

I tried maxi suds the fest time around with a bad turn out. I'm going to give it a shot when it's time to wash my car again this week.
