Pictures will tell the story better than I can.

Work truck: 1986 Ford F-150 ~ ridden hard, put out to pasture wet...on a regular basis.
Strong drive train,
4 x 4,
dependable suspension,
good tread,

in a word...RELIABLE.

Great work!

Thanks. You don't know what you're missing...well maybe you do:laughing:
I copied this hands marketing strategy when I moved to the area and made it fit to suit my demographic. I have several maint. referrals due to the friendship.
Federal security officer, Friday landscaper, weekend hand car washer for the past 17 years. Clocking over 6 figures annually.

Nice work VT, how'd that tailgate turn out?
Those truck keep workin no matter what they get put through

Nice turnaround VT. I love working on cars and trucks that look like that before all the hard work begins. I've gotten way more people talking about my abilities as a detailer by doing these types of jobs than I ever could have by working on an already clean and newer vehicle. The before/after is an incredible transformation on these type of jobs.

Nice work my friend!!

And, with excellent results for his:
...RELIABLE
...Workaday-vehicle!! :xyxthumbs:.

I turned this thing down for over a year. however, after the recent threads and posts concerning Megs #7, I knew that the poli-seal would be beneficial...adding the 845 will allow me to document its future condition on my OPS thread.

nice job pal, good recovery.

also..

HTTR!!

Thanks...[/b]and[/b]...:dblthumb2:

Thanks. I forgot to add that he does carpet extraction from a skid mounted unit during the cold months, so the truck will be parked for weeks at a time.

Just a couple of passes of OPS and one pass 845 on the lower part beneath the aluminum skin. Really was no use as the nicks, dents, scratches multiply here.

Thanks bud :props:
This will probably be the last polish that the hood will see. The paint is so thin that you can see the black primer seeping through the flakes.
We tag team details that he can't handle with his wash n wax service, been a while though.

Reminds me of the Valley View kids in Vegas, also ...LoL...Have a great day Bob:props:

lol good i was cheering them so my niners stay in second place in the NFC

10-04 ...but as Sunshyne stated HTTR

It says electronic fuel injector on the side lol, keep that on the truck and people will know its a classic truck

Wow VT! turning that TRASHED work truck into a good looking work truck just shows you can do anything!

I love projects like this myself.......turning junk into to gold even tho its still junk is always the challenge.

I forgot to look at the mileage, but it's a solid vehicle for sure.

Well, I still can't get red juice stains out of most carpets

There's a lot that I can't do, but better still, there's a lot that I won't do. I spent some time around the recon industry, even witnessed a few rebirths of post Katrina cars.

All in all he got exactly what he paid for and nothing more, not even a spritz of polish mixed with the OPS. But on nice spring-like, late fall days, it was indeed a pleasure to work on a vehicle w/o a deadline, and at my leisure. Hopefully I can post referral jobs gained from this.

Thanks for posting Tim.

OAN: I located the original bed from the 68 rust bucket I bought this summer, the entire floor is rusted out, but the paint, rust, and patina matches the cab.

Just a lil somethin' somethin'.
Thanks for posting triple j :props:
Hope that you're enjoying beautiful Tarheel weather. Dropped the top and had a waterfront brunch in B'Mo today. Man it was gorgeous.
