Starting a petition - No more packaging peanuts

I hate the peanuts, but I let AG decide. If they think it's safer to ship my chemicals with peanuts, then rock on baby.

Here's how I deal with the peanuts: find an empty box/bucket and dump half of them in it. Then pull your merchandise out. That way you don't have peanuts everywhere.

I think packing peanuts are essential for most things shipped from AG....however a suggestion would be to maybe have some sort of recycling program through AG to a) help the environment and b) help AG. Not sure how that would work, but it was a thought.

Would you mind paying for it with a surcharge on each order, higher prices, or less sales?

I would. Keep using peanuts. If you want to recycle them, that's fine. But it's crazy to ask the seller to do so. Or maybe you could feed them to a goat, I here they eat anything.

I have a 5 year old and boy can he make my house look like a disaster. My living room looks worse than the shipping dept at Autogeek.

Peanuts are actually a lot of fun! I dump 2 or 3 boxes in the back of my pickup and take a drive.....Looks like snow!!

I do not like .snow, but I like peanuts

I take them to a local shipping store my buddy owns. Jacks Ship n Shop in Waterford MI. He tosses them in his hopper. I give him some boxes too. I'm not a recycler by nature unfortunately but I just can't see these going to a landfill on my accord.

Yes, it's not the peanuts but the static that's the problem. If they used anti-static peanuts most people could deal with it.

reminds me of a trip home from the hospital after my Dad's quad-bypass. We were in St. Louis headed east on I-64 and pickup had a huge box in the back and the flaps kept flipping up and down..

all of a sudden at about 65 or so they flaps came up and probably enough peanuts came out over the next 1000ft to fill an econoline van it seemed like. All over 4-5 lanes. My Mom, myself and my Dad just broke up laughing as my Dad had been very quiet in the back seat and he just let loose laughing. He wasn't supposed to do that kind of thing yet..

It did lighten the day for him.

It was just really cool to see. Nothing dangerous but to see it..

how much does he charge to fill a box with those peanuts then?

Oh man! You're neighbors would love you for life! Nothing like static cling climate around peanuts.

Peanuts are a pita, but I would prefer them any day. I used to do receiving for the company I worked for, and very rarely had any damaged goods from peanuts. Paper on the other hand compresses and moves too much.

9, 999 remaining signatures required for petition to be a success. Lol

Peanuts or popcorn, what ever AG shipping department decides to use as long as the liquid products arrive without getting destroyed inside.

I just got my package form AG and got a gallon of blackfire polish and seal. I had the peanuts in the box and I dont like them either. Im glad to know that you can request paper. Thanks for the thread guys.

You get superior void fill and more elasticity. I just wish they would use the anti-static or corn starch ones...or that I could remember to ask for paper...

:iagree:I think it's not the peanuts per say, just the darned static that makes them so hard to deal with. Heck sometimes I end up flipping my hands around like a cat with duct tape on it's foot trying to get the little pieces to release themselves from my baby smooth skin. ;)
