It was time for the yearly polishing/sealant for the Daughters Escort. Started with M205 to take out the RID's and other removeable defects and then started to apply DG 601, I had about 1/4 of the car done and thought that this would eat up a lot of the day doing it this way. Next step was to mix up a 4:1 batch of 601/105. I mixed up 2oz's and applied 2 layers with a final wipe down with Aqua Wax. Laying on 2 coats only used 1/2oz. of product. This product previously used on this car has been Zaino which would last somewhere around 1 year. I have been using Duragloss sealants mainly on the fiber glass RV and it has held up very well so I wanted to give it a shot with paint. I will see if the longevity is comparable to Zaino as the DG 601/105 is suppose to last a year.
