I was thinking as I was looking at the "worst car ever" thread that the flip-side could be interesting - what's your favorite car that you sold / had to let go?

For me, an 02 Saleen S281. Sold it for love. Now I don't have the car or the wife anymore :nomore: (x 2).

How 'bout you?

I should have never sold my Milk Truck or my Drag Boat...

Should have never sold my hot rod Model T, my 1934 Chevy 3-Window Coupe, my 1971 Chevrolet 3/4 Ton 4x4, my 1971 SS Nova, my 1969 Chevelle, my 1959 and 1961 MGA, my 1948 Plymouth Coupe, my 1959 Cadillac Flattop, my 1959 Cadillac Coupe d ville, my 1960 Cadillac Sedan d ville, my 1969 K5 CST Blazer, my 1973 K5 4x4 Blazer, my 1973 2-wheel drive Blazer, and a bunch of other cars I can't even remember now...

:D

I wish I had my '69 Charger and my '68 Charger R/T.

1998 cadillac eldorado. The car was a joy to drive and got a ton of looks and compliments. The torque converter was shot, I found out those engines were notorious for head bolt failure and I was moving back to NJ. I would have destroyed that car up here.

Happily do not miss any cars! However, I am young.

I guess I miss the chance of having a garage queen since I do not see that in my future anytime soon with starting a family and having no garage!

When we returned from our honeymoon and closed on the house, the '96 Corvette 6spd coupe was the first to go.

Totally regret selling my IS300... 5-speed thankyouverymuch

Then there is the Velocity Red Mica Mazdaspeed Miata that was taken from me way too soon thanks to a big chunk of metal on the interstate...

My 1970 cuda 440 six pack lime green 4 speed hemi trans Dana 60 rear.

For me it was my '77 Pontiac Grand Prix LJ, my second car. It had every available option including factory Hurst t-tops. Damn I loved that car!

Wish I still had my 71 Nova. It was my 1991 HS grad present. The original owner had it for like 15 years and was a car restorer so it was in great shape when my grandparents acquired it as the 2nd owners. I wanted to keep it and build it into a street rod but being in the Navy I had nowhere to keep it when I bought a new car in 1994. It wasn't a beast, just the 2 door, bench seats, 307 V8, but it was clean except a pulled out bumper from a parking lot fender bender. "New" bumper and trim piece would have totally fixed that.

My 1992 Geo Tracker... Lil sucker would go anywhere!! I hit a deer with it and smashed up the front end, found out it would cost more to fix then what it booked for!

So I listed it on CL and had it sold within a few hours for WAY more than I thought it was worth..

FX50S, ran a 13.7 @ 102 in the 1/4, hauled @$$ (pardon my french) up a mountain road with two mountain bike and full cooler in the back, similar AWD system to the GTR, could drift it if you had some space, monstered blizzards and country back roads, all with a TV in the back... V8 G37 coupe. Broken hearted to let her go; had horrible depreciation and huge suspension problems, and useless cupholders... ok though stereo too.

I learned how to drive stick in one of those :). I remember my friends dad asking me on my birthday if I wanted to learn stick or the motorcycle. I opted for stick shift to his surprise, although he still taught me how to drive the bike and even his Bobcat that day Im the MAN

My second car was a loaded '76 GP SJ. black w/red int. Ralley II's. They were great cars. In many of my dreams I'm driving, and it's always that car.

So many I still wish I had but the #1 that I wish I still had was a '69 Chevelle SS 396ci, cowl induction, 4sp Hurst, blue with the wide white stripes (Chevy's racing colors at the time). Sold it to my brother before I went to Vietnam. He totalled it about 8 months later .

:wow::eek::(

reminds me of a story I heard. I was looking for a BMW V10 engine on ebay. The guy said in the description "Engine is out of an M6, an uncle willed it to his nephew, kid had it for 3 months and totalled it"
