Yeah, but the OP stated he wants to do this to gain experience, so he IS getting something in return. If I charge somebody something to do something, they are not my friend, because I would never charge a friend. If it's something I'm not comfortable doing for free, then I don't do it.

My first vehicle will be a freebee. A friends z71 has been sitting up a few months because the transmission went out. He plans to get it fixed with his tax return money. Its 10 years old or so and is in fair shape. Never been detailed and im sure itll have been washed with a floor mop if im lucky. So lots of swirls if im lucky! Hes used to not driving it around right now so when it gets fixed we will bring it to my place and park it till im finished. He would be glad to help and im sure he assumes i want him to. But i really dont think there will be a lot he can do after helping me tape it off. And id just as soon go thru my learning curv without someone standing around questioning me.

I plan to m105/205 it whether it needs it or not. Aint decided on the sealant/wax yet. Probably just gonna use the ultimate wax i purchased awhile back. Ill be ordering the blackfire ice/fire kit soon to do my wifes camaro and my truck. Not sure i want to use that on my freebees.
