Microfiber Crazy

Thank you my friend, but I think I'm done with mf this year.

Didn't realize I have 132 mf sitting in the closet! Wow, I don't even want to think of the amount spent...

I have about 120 MFs. I pack them neatly in clear storage bins (from Home Depot). They save a lot of space and keeps the MFs safe and dry. I'm done buying them too (I almost bought some more Zaino blonds today, whew, that was close) I think I'm done buying them all together. I hope.

Look at that video I posted of me on the track. Those rocks are hitting my paint at 100-130+Mph. That is easily going to damage a clear bra and the clear bra is going to look like crap after that weekend. Now I could remove the clear bra and apply it again but I don't know how to apply a clear bra. Thus, I have got to pay someone around $800 minimum to have a new clear bra installed. OR, I could buy the painting supplies that I need and paint the bumper myself for a LOT less money. Thus, it's significantly cheaper for me to paint than to have a clear bra reinstalled.

Lastly, I never have been real keen on having a clear bra on my car because if you look close enough, you can see it. I'm just not a fan. I did buy a real bra a few years ago. Had it custom made and I have yet to put it on the car. Don't ask me why... :(

Junkman... the pics of your front bumper being painted... you painted that yourself?? It looks freakin' great. Awesome paintwork if you painted that, man.

Thanks! Yea, I painted it myself but I am by no means an expert painter. My father painted cars for 40 years and if I had any sense when I was a kid, I would have learned from him. That man did amazing things with paint but the fumes damn near killed him. We didn't realize how bad that stuff was back then (the 60's and 70's for me). To me, I am only good enough to do my own car. I wouldn't think about working on anyone elses car and charging money. That anal me would kick in and they would never get their car back.

LOL. You're welcome, by the way. You know, I've watched your videos over and over and I always see your car in the background... but I never thought it looked anything like the pics on the previous page. I've never seen so much depth in paint. Makes me wish I would have gotten another dark grey car rather than silver.

Hell, I wish mine was black! :D

Corrected paint will make you stop and stare at your car before bedtime. I do it sometimes without realizing it.

I'm the same way, lol. Last weekend we had some good rain coming down and it stopped before or around midnight... I went outside at 1 in the morning to look at the beaded water on my paint, lol. My girlfriend thinks I'm lame for being that into my car.
