Difference from old BFWD vs new formula?

I bought a gallon of the older Black Fire Wet Diamond sealant awhile back. I have heard the the current version for sale on AG is a new formula. Is there a difference between the two? Is my old 1 gallon BFWD obsolete? I would hate having to use something that doesn't give me the max protection/durability as a new formula would give. I might have to go buy the new BFWD if there is such a big diffence.
 
I haven't had a chance to use both of them, but this thread has come up before. The consensus was that the new BFWD is great, but that doesn't make the old BFWD any worse... both are still awesome LSPs!

When did they change..when the new bottles came out?

When Proper Auto Care had BF they had a polycharger label on the bottle. Since PBMG took over I don't even know if polycharger is even in BF. Wish someone from AG would give us the facts.

i've been told that polycharger is still in bfwdps
 
I have a question about the consistency of BFWDPS. I recieved a sample today. It seems very liquid or thin, kind of like milk. I shook it for a couple minutes but it didn't thicken. Is this normal? The bitter weather while in transit probably didn't help, I guess that's why I'm a little concerned. Thanks in advance,

Yeah that's fine ^ I prefer when the bfwdps is more liquidy than thicker (has varied on different batches for me)

You have to shake the crap out of BFWD before using it
 
Cool! Thanks for the responses guys^^. I shook it like I would a can of spray paint and it did look a little more "normal" I guess. I'll have to remember to not squeeze it onto the applicator like I would usually. That could be a messy waste. Should I be able to do my Tacoma double cab with a 2 oz. sample size?

I use BFWD alot and never had a issue with the full size bottles. But I heard people saying this about the sample so I got one with my last order. I shook it for 10 mins and still it was thin and separated. I was about to toss it, I left the bottle on the counter, and the next morning it was fine. It was nice and thick like my other batches..... Weird but it worked.

With 2oz you can do the whole truck twice :) litte BFWD goes a long way.
