Definitely, EXO has some of the most consistent beading I have seen to date. When they say the water contact angle is 110 degrees... every single bead has the exact same shape and contact angle

Can someone explain "water contact angle". Looks like awesome beading. How old is the EXO? What do you use as a wash?

Pretty sure its the angle at which the edge of the water/bead forms with the paint. If you look in the last pic, you can kind of see a 110* angle where the bead is formed.

Very briefly...
Contact angle…θ…is a quantitative measure of "the wetting of a solid by a liquid".
Geometrically...
It is the angle formed by a liquid at the three phase boundary...
That is: Where a liquid, a gas, and a solid intersect.
If the contact angle (θ) is:
-More than (>) 90 degress...The liquid is said to be non-wetting.
-Less than (<) 90 degrees...The liquid is said to spread/wet well.
-A zero (0) contact angle...This represents complete wetting by the liquid.

So instead of saying: "Look how well the water is beading"...
I'll suggest that it may be more proper to say: "Look how well the water is non-wetting
Of course if one does consider that CC paint has a
porous architecture (at least to some degree)...
Then the Washburn Method may be chosen for:
Contact angle measurement of a "wetting liquid".

Warning:
If that non-wetting liquid ('water beads') is not removed in a timely fashion...Then:
The depth of possible water-spots/water-etching
is an unknown variable to which one must contend .
Get them beads off of that vehicle...ASAP!!

Oh man if EXO only has a contact angle of 110 and it already has amazing properties as it is, imagine what it would be like when a legitimate super hydrophobic coating has been developed! (contact angle 150 or more, making it truly self cleaning) Can't wait, but it'd be questioanble if I'd use it as I have so much wash products and nubas...

Got it. High contact angle, small tight beads on hydrophobic surface.
