TurtleWax Rinseless Wash

Heres a back shot

PM sent i may just have to try it. My paint isn't it great shape so it can't do that much harm.

Yeah I saw that too on my local Advanced Auto parts store. They have a Griots section, new Meguiar's products session and Mothers coming soon.

I will probably try it. I usually try most things once. May work good bad or be one of those in a pinch things.

I don't think you can mess up a rinseless wash. I'm sure the product will help get the job done. If it's cheap enough, I'll run out and buy it. I wonder what it smells like.

UPDATE: Guys, im here at the store. Opened up the bottle, this stuff smells EXACTLY like ONR....

^ Thanks cartman57. Just went and read the whole thread.

Looks like I'm heading to the store on my lunch break.

is it the same dilution rate of ONR? or is it pre-diluted?

ive told a few friends about ONR/WW, rinseless washes using the GDWM and most seem hesitant to try. this may be the ticket for them to delve into it without much investment if its indeed available at popular auto stores.

For the price, when I see it, I'll give it a shot for sure.

Just checked, its 4oz to 2 gallons..

At that dilution ratio it looks like the turtle wax product is half-strength ONR......if it is ONR.

4oz of TW per 2gallons of water is the same dilution ration that ONR uses for clay lube.... 2oz per 1 gallon water.

Only a chemist would know for sure.

I agree. However IMO they probably have higher concentration rates for "extra" lubricity for the average joe. I could be wrong, and in fact it might not have ONR's lubricity. What has me baffled is that it smells just like ONR, same color too.

I thought about the "more lubricity" angle for the average person as well, just so they'd be pleased with the result of washing their car rinseless and be compelled to buy it again.

If you use the stated dilution ratios of ONR & TW, it seems like you get half the concentration of ONR for half the price, admittedly convenience counts for something but I think you get what you pay for.

Optimum just found a way to market their product to the masses, if it is indeed ONR.

My local Advance Auto was already out of the Turtle Wax wash, but he'll have some for me tomorrow.
I'm actually excited to try this product! LOL!

Sent from the mind of a madman.

Yeah we've got an Advance Auto Parts down the street from my work and we've got an account there, so I should be able to get it a bit cheaper to try it out.

As far as the dilution rate, yeah general public needing more sounds like they're trying to be on the safe side, I'll give it a try with just 1 oz per 2 gallons of water.

Honestly though, they almost need to sell this in a kit with a good mf sponge, 2 grit guards and suggesting 2 5 gallon buckets to do the job properly. This way your doing your best to achieve the best results with this "new fangled" product out there, remember, we're talking about the regular people out there, you know, the guys who grab Meg's burgendy bottled products because its what they saw their Dad use......once, LOL!
