DP Plex-All -- spruce up plexiglass inside/out

Stripper Scent -- Air Freshner

Blackfire Crystal Seal or Optimums Spray Car Wax -- quick wax
 
Back-up polisher, ya never know. You also might want to invest in some more polishes. The ones you mentioned may not always be the right ones for the job. And maybe a lower end wax, Dodo can be expensive and people may not want to pay for that extra.

Yeah I considered MaxWax

as Well as Pinn. Signature Series 2 since its WOWO ..though it would be worth it to save some time. not exactly cheap though

Other recommedations on good cheaper waxes?


Yeah Ive considered picking up some Menzerna Polishes also.


2nd D/A will have to wait as I just bought a 6x10 enclosed trailer w/ V nose :awesome:

I think Optimum spray wax is a must have. It is so easy to use but offers fairly long lasting protection.
 
Terry cloth towels are great for things like drying engines, tires and undercarriages.

Thanks. I actually just bought a large pack of these from Wally World the other day to assist w/ dry cleaning my pads from my d/a


Great Advice.. hadn't even thought about using some of the terry cloths for drying the engine and tires..

I was trying to figure out what I was going to use the rest for. :xyxthumbs:

Nope nothing for trim treatment so far.

looks like Im going to add those few products and a speedy prep towel to complete my order!

IMO, you are using very expensive products to try and turn a profit detailing...unfortunately most people arent really interested in paying very much to get their car detailed...youll have to find a very speciallized group of people who will pay top dollar for qaulity products.

While they are pretty much all great products, I can see with lyour time and labour being able to turn a decent profit using these products. try finding good quality products in bulk...youll make some money that way.
 
Some opinions:

1. Don't get involved with Tuff Shine with customers cars. The initial application time can take a while as the tires have to be scrubbed surgically clean to be successful. Not to mention its quite expensive for a tire dressing.

2. Instead of an entry level wax, use a paint sealant, like Powerlock or BFWD. they are easy to apply, cost effective, look great, and outlast most waxes.
 
recommended essentials

I would say a forced rotation da Polisher or a Rotary.
Various size pads. I agree that your polishes and compounds could be hindering the ability to achieve enough correction. Case by case the paint conditions will vary. I think everyone is always needing more tools and goodies. I myself own 4 polishers a Dewalt 849XP, Milwaukee,
Harbor Freight D/A 5.3Amp, Matco Silver Eagle 3" Mini Rotary ;)

That makes sense.. I do use these products as well for personal cars but I def see what your saying.. so please by all means list a few great products that aren't so expensive to use that still produce great results... I'm all about making a good profit and do realize some of these are a bit pricey.

Thanks for the good advice.. The tire shine was originally purchased for my new car and my fiances car. surprisingly enough I have enough left to do at least 1 more car.. but I know what your saying... Very time consuming!!

Any tire cleaner and dressing (no sling) OTC I could pick up this morning? I have a Porsche 911 detail at 10:00 AM


I'm with you on the Paint Sealant Idea .. Very smart.. Plus my clients will enjoy the longevity vs the typical wax other detailers in the area put on. As well as it is pretty cost effective as well.

But def need a good Trim restorer/ Trim Sealant for BLACK fading areas
 
I use Eco touch tire shine on trim with great success, and xxx is a hybrid wax, very durable, however I completely agree that power lock would be an awesome way to go, I usually use bfwdps but that's because it's what I have, my next sealant I try will be power lock
Mothers wheel and tire should be added, makes tire and most wheel cleaning a breeze
 
I see no Quick detail spray, way too expensive on wax (unless you have clients already willing too pay). Brushes brushes and more brushes. I would put more into sealants and more pads and cheaper wax like a spray on. Xmt 64 oz is a great product, smells good and is fast.
