Bruce, if you'll pm me your address I'll have it shipped to your location.

Cheers!

Wow - that's awesome !

Hey, that's pretty cool of you to do. I think once us local guys talk offline we can figure a plan of attack, what we'll be bringing to the table and what we need. We'll keep you in the loop.

I can lead on this...

The only dates that I CANNOT are
9 Feb
10 Feb (sunday)
16 Feb
23 Feb
2 Mar
3 Mar (sunday)

Other than that, I'm pretty open...Bruce, what dates work for you? Evreryone else? Feb 24 would give us enough time to gather resources, a plan of attack and get what we need ready...

Bruce - it's your truck and place - what do you think?

Wow, it's so nice to see that there are still some great people left in this world. Kudos to you all for your willingness to help!:dblthumb2:

I'm waiting to hear what Bruce feels about the dates. Sounds like he's open, unless he needs to have this done by a certain date? Weekends are the best bet for me and that Sun. the 24th looks good to me.

I'll PM you & David my inventory list. From there we can consolidate and start planning.

Let's make this happen!

Feb 24 is good foe me, if it is OK we can set up for the 24th I have plenty of microfiber towels, drying and buffing. I have a HF DA polisher and some HF pads. I am ordering a 5" backing plate and Mike's book and video. I am looking forward to meeting you guys and learning about detailing.

How fun. Very generous guys. I'm not surprised. Look forward to pics!

Whether you realize it or not this can turn into a pretty special event.

While many of us would love to be a part of this we simply live too far away BUT would really look forward to some great photos of the team. I tip my hat to everyone for their compassion and generosity.......Carry on Men!! :props:

Fellow AGO'ers first let me say; :applause:.

I've been in the on-line community since the 386 and Windows 3.0 days when it was nothing more than a bbs. To log on here and see so many offer to show up, help, and even teach him how to get his truck done when Bruce did his first post is EXACTLY what makes this place what keeps everyone coming back! It just made me smile.....

I strongly agree. I too have been on the Internet since it started and I've seen good forums and less than good forums and it's the caliber of the people that make a forum good and this forum is great.

I am totally surprised at the response from you guys. I was only looking for advise to make it easier.
Thanks
Bruce

Don't be surprised Bruce, this is the norm for AGO

Welcome to our forum. :welcome:

Please let me know what will be needed for refreshments and I can have them cold and ready.

There you go... detailers will work for food, cold drinks and camaraderie!

All this just blows me away.
Thanks
Bruce

If I still lived in SoCal I'd be there to help too...

Someone should be in charge of taking pictures and sharing with the rest of us. I can help get them onto the forum if someone can take them and e-mail them to me.

Huge thank you to everyone joining in to help out. Your kindness and willingness to help is impressive.

This is just helping someone out - it's no big deal.

We could do it in front of my house, using the canopies. I have water and plenty of 110V and 220V if needed. There is plenty of room f.or every one. Please let me know what will be needed for refreshments and I can have them cold and ready. I am retired so any time is good for me, all I need is time to be rested, when this happens. All this just blows me away.
Thanks
Bruce

Seems to be a big deal to Bruce, and it's very nice of you guys to offer to do it. Looking at the size of the truck...I think it'll be a pretty "big" deal... :xyxthumbs:

Sorry to Hijack this for a moment but I couldn't help myself....sort of like buying more detailing supplies.....

OH did I get a kick out of this!! :props:

Tony, I believe you and I "are" on the same page!!

The 386's with Window's 3.0 were state of the art back in the day and if you were lucky you had 8mb of RAM and 120mb hard drive.....Put on your seat belt because we were entering WARP speed.....

Backup's were done on a 300mb 12 platter disk that was about 10 inches high by 14 or so inches in diameter. The drive that contained this massive storage was approximately 24" wide, 48" long, and 40" or so high....Yup, this was 1983.......

Thanks! The problem I have when I embarked on my passion is that I blew alot of my load on CG products. I myself went into their warehouse and was such awww that I was a kid in a candy store with no limits. Don't get me wrong most of the products have good results, but now I am finding myself to have to wait longer to save and by different brands that I want to get from AG. So saving up once again so I can make a big purchase from AG. Another problem I have being on this forum is that my list keeps growing. Going to pull the trigger next month for the order. Can't wait. If it wasn't for my other half I would be broke. LOL
