PERL for Tires

Hey guys,

A few quick qustions about PERL for tires. Do most people add 2-3 coats at 1:1 or one or two coats undiluted. Is there a really difference in shine at 1:1 vs. Undiluted. BTW I am applying by hand with microfiber applicator.

Also, how do you guys like this compared to Opti-Bond. I was going to pick up the 8 oz Opti to try but I already have alot of PERL (BOGO).

I have both. Opti-bond is used at 1:1 while I use PERL straight. Usually, I do 2 coats 15+ minutes apart. I find that PERL produces a new tire type of sheen whereas Opti-bond is glossier.
 
I've always used PERL undiluted on tires. A lot of people say PERL diluted 1:1 produces almost the same look without much of a sacrifice in durability.
 
Not to be a stick in the mud but I dilute CarPro PERL 3:1 (water to product) with outstanding results on tires......:props:

3:1 - Tires, Exterior Trim
4:1 - Engine Compartment, Interior plastics and trim
5:1 - Rubber seals and like components
 
I like it 1:1 and spray it on with a small hplv gun. I spray the first coat and let it sit 5-10 mins and the another coat. By the time I'm done spraying the last tire,vi walk back around and wipe with a mf disk to even it out. Love this look and method. Looks like a new tire for 1-2 weeks depending on rain/driving conditions. What I really love is how easy they are to clean the next few washes until I decided to scrub and redressView attachment 15383

I have alot of PERL left from BOGO but have been hearing so many good things about Opti-Bond that I have been thinking about trying it. I don't want to be wasteful though. Do you guys think I would really notice a big difference in look or long lasting of the tire shine if I decided to try the 8 oz opti-bond?
 
I always use PERL at 1:1 on tires and 3:1 for interior and trim.
I find that 1:1 gives the perfect amount of gloss for me.
 
You have a lot of Perl and I have a lot of Opti bond. Want to do a 8oz swap??

Same here. I apply to tires with the Optimum spray gun at 40psi and wipe immediately with terry towel. I only apply one coat but I move the car and apply another partial coat to keep from having a spot I missed. I have a gallon of Optimum tire coat but rarely use it. The PERL works better for me for some reason. I do love that sprayer.
 
Anyone else wanna trade some optibond for some perl? I have a bunch of perl.
