Mircofiber IMO...

I plan to have the 360 Yellow, 530 Blue, 460 Grey (Korean) and 600 Green. 100's of *some* of them ;) Will post some photos tonight comparing them :)

Sounds like a plan! :)

I'm wondering if the 360's are going to be the same as the Costco Eurow's?

Also, I would really like to get my hands on the rest of them as well. The problem with that is my wife will have a COW when the first case shows up. I can't even imagine one of each! (460,530,600's) And when I say "cow" I mean like that State Farm commercial when the person just POOF's and is standing there. I honestly think there'll be a 1500 pound cow right then and there standing in our family room!

Ha! Thats funny :)

I already have the 360's so this will be more of the same on those. I really love them. Are they the fluffiest? By far no! But the price is right! They are great at removing polish and wax and when doing waterless/rinseless they don't drag like some of my more "fluffier" towels do. I've never noticed any marring with them on my or my customer's cars and I have super soft Subaru paint. The 360's are my go to towel for just about everything. They all started off "paint only" towels, but over time some have been downgraded to interior and door jamb towels.

I am excited to see how they compare to the others. The one I'm most excited about seeing are the 530's. If they are good then I think they will be the best balance of price/performance.

UPS has already dropped them off at the house according to the wife. :xyxthumbs:

I will try and get some photos shortly after I get home.

Out of curiosity tony, what's the minimum order and pricing under the wholesale account for the 600's, Korean 460's, and blue 530's from MF tech?

Disclaimer: Everything in the post is simply my opinion based on nothing more than my unscientific observations. If my mis-spelled words and bad grammer irritates you, so what. :)

Softness:
  1. 460 Blue Korean (softest)
  2. 600 Green
  3. 360 Yellow / 530 Blue*
*360 and 530 seem like the exact same towel except the pile is slightly longer on the 530. With that said the 360 actually feels ever so slightly softer. Now I don't know if it's actually softer or because of the slightly longer pile, my hand is more easily able to distinguish the fibers which makes it feel not as soft as the 360? I've read that yellow dye is the softest of the dyes so maybe the blue is in fact not as soft. Either way the difference is negligible. Hope that made sense. :)

Thickness:
They actually go in order... 360,460,530 and 600. :xyxthumbs:
The 360's and 530's are short nap/long nap and the 460's and 600's have long nap on both sides.

Edges:
All edges are silk except the 600's
Note on the yellow 360's: My last 360's had a MF edge and the latest batch has a silk edge. Doesn't matter to me, just something to note. The MF itself is exactly the same from what I can tell.

Conclusion:
I can't tell you anything else until I actually put them to use. I love my previous 360's and have no reason to use anything else other than "just because". No lint after washing. No marring on mine or my customer's cars and I have a WR Blue Subaru with really soft clear. The price to performance ratio is hard to beat. They don't drag when doing rinseless/waterless. The short side is great for removing polish/wax and the long nap side is great for everything else. I might hold on to some 600's just because. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to answer them.

Thanks everyone, I hope this isn't considered a thread jack... :)

Okay, so here we go:

Thank you g26er for your review! I would love to be wallowing in those right now :) LOL

As best I can tell, 1 case minimum. Numbers below are per case on 16x16's.
Those three only come in 16x16 where the 360's also come in 16x24 and 25x36.
  • 360 ; 180 ; blue, gold, white
  • 530 ; 100 ; blue
  • 460 ; 120 ; gray
  • 600 ; 130 ; green or gray
They've got everything, from waffle to glass, to extra small 6x6 eyeglass cloths.
The 25x36 400gsm waffles are only $6.95 but you've gotta buy 50! I can't see me with that many of those like EVER. But I could stand a half case of the 460's (because they are a lot more $ than the others). ;)

Based on g26's photos, and recommendation on the 360's though.... that's 280 towels, (case of each) for just under $300 (plus shipping). Not bad, not bad at all! :)

Hey, pm me with your e-mail and I'll send ya' the 2012 price list 'pdf'.

:dblthumb2:Great post thanks a ton for sharing!:dblthumb2:

I suspect the 360's feeling 'softer' because the 530's are more dense, less space between the pile.
Looking at the photo above the 460 and 530 look like they would be darned near equal in the thickness test. Makes me wonder if in the long run the Korean towel at $1.00 more would really be worth it. :dunno:

The big surprise there is the 360's. I mean we've been discussing the Eurow 350's (of which I have been buying for years) and they are NOWHERE NEAR that thick-n-plush. Of course they cost less, (maybe 45¢ less) but both are under a buck! Not bad at all, especially if they do well on soft paint. ;)

Where did you hear free shipping?

Did not hear 'free' shipping at all. That's why I said "plus shipping".
Shouldn't be an oversized box at less than 165 total inches, and the weights run 23 to 34 pounds. If I remember, UPS doesn't charge overweight till it's past 70.
Besides, it can't be that bad especially with the price savings. :)

HA! I swear I read "plus free shipping". Clearly that's not what you said :) Sorry...

S Imagine opening a 100 towel or 200 towel order and just rolling around in them!?!?! Gotta' admit, it'd be pretty darned cool. (In a Twilight Zone kind of way.)
;)

My cat has the same idea. Happens every time I take them out of the dryer and try to fold them.

I was down at the CG warehouse today, they had 15% off for a couple hours. I really like their Orange Bangers and the Gray Matter Waffle weave drying towel. So i purchased a bunch of them at 15% off....

The blue rolled edge microfibers that AG sell are awesome, and the 600 gsm ones from MFtech rock for rinseless.

I love the AG woobie as well....

can't have too man towels!

Arrgh! 15% off? I was going to head up there today, but got sidetracked with errands.

I walked out with so much stuff, about 20 microfibers amongst many other things....:dblthumb2: plus os much free stuff they gave out, good day of fun with lots of people.

Dug up an old thread. Woobies and arctic whites. Whoa!!!
