I was wiping down my bike one day and I dropped a microfiber on the hot exhaust. This is what it did! Anybody have any good ideas how to remove this crap!

Thanks

I had a similar issue once. My plastic bumper cover melted on my exhaust tip. Thankfully it's full stainless so that helped clean up.

What I did was use a heat gun to melt spots little by little and wiped off with a cloth rag.

It's about the only option without discoloring or marring the surface.

A had a similar gaff with a plastic shopping bag on my chrome exhaust. I use bug an tar remover to get most of it off. The next time I took it in for service, the guy at the shop polished the rest off with chrome polish and a buffer. You could still see it, but only if you looked close.

In my day we called it shoe bacon. I guess we would call this rag kill. Just stay after it and it’ll come off.

I will let you guys know what take it off.. Thank you for the suggestions! I didin't notice it for a while so it got cooked on.. OOPS..

Is WD-40 similar to PB Blaster. I tried PB blaster but that didin't work.

I know I'm a bit late posting, but I'm sure someone will wander in looking for answers. I dropped a MF towel in my hot pipe and it melted and burned. I completely removed it with Eagle One Nevrdull. It's as if it never happened.
