I have been enjoying detailing for the past few years, and appreciate all the help and guidance provided. Last weekend I traded in my Honda pilot, for a Super White Tundra.

I have tried many products and finally settled down on a few products. Since my new truck is single stage vs clear coated, I am wondering how much if anything from a product selection needs to change.

Traditionally I have been using the following products from time to time on corrections

BLACKFIRE SRC Compound
BLACKFIRE SRC Finishing polish
Menzerna SIP
Meguires microfiber system

Then I primarily use the following products for POP

Menzerna 4500
BLACKFIRE wet ice over fire

I currently own a GG6 and 3, with many pads.

So looking to the pros to say if these are still valid on SS paint, or not.

Thanks a bunch in advance!
Rene

Re: Product questions now that I have a SIngle Stage paint

I treat new single stage paints similar to any other factory paint except they're a bit on the soft side. Color will transfer to the pad and towels but I think they finish up richer than clear coated paint..

Some info by Mike Phillips..........:props:

The practical differences between single stage paints and a clear coat paints

Thank you for the advise and links. So basically I will not harm the paint with my current selections, however will do test spots first.

The snow has already started and is most likely close to you as well...

Thanks!

Wow, I have to say it looks like I need to give 501 a shot, and you really cannot argue with the price. :buffing:

Thank you or the links!
