ONRWW as a QD and clay lube

Yep. Works great. I put 1 oz. per 32 oz. bottle for clay lube, 1.5 oz or so for QD.
 
You can use up to 8oz per gallon to make a quick detailer. For best results use distillers or RO water.
 
I wouldn't use something with wax in it as a clay lube, but that's just me.

It seems okay to use ONR for a clay lube but something about using ONRWW as a clay lube seems not right. IMO.
 
You'll find yourself using ONR or ONRWW as an EVERYTHING!! haha. I have both the original and wax version and I haven't looked or payed for a QD since then. So much more cost effective than buying a QD at autozone or anywhere else. Optimum is a beast!

There's no doubt in my mind that it works great as a clay lube, but if I'm claying I want to remove EVERYTHING off of the surface. Something with wax in it is going to leave behind some protection. This can cause issues with paint sealants bonding. Every product has their place, I just think I'll stick with regular ONR for clay lube!

There is no argument here....
ONRWW is going to leave behind a lot more protection than ONR. End of story.

Of course, but ONR leaves some protection behind as well. So basically every single QD you use is going to leave something behind.
 
Is the QD ratio, (8oz/128oz gallon = 2oz/32oz spray bottle, right?) the same as waterless wash ratio or the panel "pre spray" ratio when doing a rinseless wash?
 
Sorry to revive this, but I have a question about using ONRWW as a clay lube.

I wash my car at a pressure washing station and then I have to drive to a garage because I don't have a hose hookup at my apartment. Since I'm driving for about 5 minutes over terrible Illinois roads, I feel like I should wipe down my car with ONRWW when I get to a garage before I polish. I also clay because of possible things being stuck to the paint while I drive (only 5 minutes but still).

If I use ONRWW as the clay lube as well, I don't need to worry about the wax remaining and affecting the adherence of DG105 and C845 because the M205 polish should remove the wax from ONRWW correct?

Follow up question.

In the future, since I don't think I should be polishing every time I wax/seal, I guess this means I should buy plain ONR to use as a clay lube if I decide to reapply wax 6 months down the road?
