How much liquid can a BF Pump Sprayer spray on a single set of pump ups? I wanted to find out. I've used this thing about a dozen times or so with waterless washes and will never use a spray bottle again.

Besides being easier to use, it lays down a lot of product FAST. Some say you use LESS product, but I actually find myself using MORE - which is a good thing with waterless wash in my opinion. Of course, the choice is yours, you can adjust the spray for a super fines atomize like pattern. But, it has the ability to lay the product down fast. This means all the waterless wash didn't just run off the front door you just sprayed, while you were spraying the back door.

I started with 1000mls (1L) of water:

This IPhone video shows the sprayer delivering the whole 1,000 mls of water on a single set of pump ups.

About 30mls was left. That wasn't because it ran out of pressure, it was because the pick-up tube didn't reach it all. I've found you can pressurize this thing, come back a week later, and it still holding pressure.

One thing I have noticed, is the pumping mechanism takes up a decent amount of volume inside the bottle. So, if you fill it all the way to the top and screw the sprayer on the bottle, you loose a good ounce or two of product due to overflow.

I've found marking a "fill line" saves a lot of product from spilling and allows you to maximize the amount of liquid you add.

Also, at 48 oz its a pretty convenient size for diluting in, as most products dilute in multiples of 16oz. Even UWW+ is 22oz, so you can just double it to approximately fill the unit.

The only thing it's missing is a measuring scale on the side. I'm not really sure why all sprayers don't have this, but it seems few do.

got one for my megs APC+ wheel cleaner. love it! much better than a spray bottle. i would say the first indintation (below the label) is close to 4:1 only used it once, but loved it. i like the adjustable spray pattern also.

These really are awesome sprayers. Like you, I'll never use anything else for rinse less and waterless washes than one. Saves so much time and really lays down some product.
What I've been doing lately after my rinseless washes to clean my wheels is after I rinseless wash my car using the gdwm, I fill up a bucket full of traditional car wash shampoo with a grit guard. I take a normal spray bottle filled with a waterless solution and spray down a wheel. I then wash my wheel with a wash mitt or brush, however you would do it traditionally, then using my pump sprayer filled with HOT water, I'll rinse the wheel down. I then take my metro sidekick and dry the tire and wheel off. Works great for colder weather washing, and cleans WAY better than any rinseless method ever could, and is actually faster.

Nice review Swanic. I have been using a cheap one I got from Wal-Mart to apply Permanon Platinum lately. Its just OK. The AG one looks nice!

I love those sprayers I ended up grabbing a garden sprayer and it works great.

I found it to be a great alternative to the Kwazer.

I just ordered a blackfire one then i just went to lowes and found the same kind in the garden center for $8 half the price of the blackfire one and its the same thing. I tried it out and love it. NO more regular spray bottles for to.

The one at lowes is real good. I have a few.

I got one from the Tractor Supply Co. a couple years ago for a completely different purpose and they are definitely worth their weight in gold if you need to be able to disperse a very fine mist.

Considering it's just occupying shelf space at this point I might repurpose it for waterless washes

Very nice review!!!

I've been wanting to use these sprayers for waterless washing applications. You just pushed me to purchase it.

I saw Ihaveacamaro using one and thought it was a great idea. Does work really well and it has a wide variety of spray patterns.

Let's put it this way, when you need to mist a crop of organic mushrooms to keep the relative humidity at 100% without water droplets forming on the pins (and preventing growth) a pressurized misting bottle is the only way to go...

The completely legal variety, of course. :-P

I'll tell you what though, some of those specialty pan-asian specialty grocery stores will pay upwards of $30 a pound for homegrown organic shiitake and enoki mushrooms...

Does the BF bottle have measuring indicators? What bottle did you use to measure the water?

I sat here and watched the entire video and now I want one. Leave to people like you to post these thing and make me want more and more. Thanks for this review item has been added to my want list. :xyxthumbs:

Did you have any problems with it not holding pressure? I have one and it works fine but if I leave it sit for more than a minute the pressure is gone and have to pump it up again.

No, something is wrong. I can come back a week later and if I crack it open it's still holding pressure. Maybe check the seal where it closes up? Or, you could pump it up empty or with colored liquid, submerge it in a bucket full of water and look for bubbles or the colored liquid to find the leak. Or, just call AG and tell them it's not holding pressure and see if they will replace it.

Sorry to drag up and old thread but I was wondering how anyone found these to work with a slightly more viscous fluid (Sonax Full Effect)

I bought this one from Home Depot

Unfortunately it does not work well with Sonax FE. I can't get a workable spray pattern. Straight stream works fine but with a wheel cleaner you want a nice spray pattern. If I try to adjust it, all I get is a very weak stream.

It works well with plain water but something thicker, not. Before I invest in a different one, was wondering if anyone had good experience with a different one of these and Sonax or similar.
