I appreciate any feedback, I have been using poorboys nattys wax (blue) on my 2012 ashen gray camaro (see photo). It works very well but I would like something that gives it a "wetter" look. What would your suggestion be? As far as longevity thats not a major concern as the car is only a weekend/nice weather car

How is the chemical guys 53 paste wax?

Chemical Guys Pete's 53'-Pearl Signature Paste Wax 8 oz

Thanks!

ryanbabz71,

I'm no expert, and there are a lot of waxes available, but for what i read... the woflgang Fuzion is great, but for even better results on black/ dark colors, the Pinnacle Souveran paste wax is really good... i have it, but have not used it yet...

Fuzion is very wet and glossy on my black BMW. especially over WG DGLS. HOWEVER, your talking a lot more money there. Pete's 53 is on my Pathfinder and is very impressive for the price. Souveran and Fuzion are tops though IMHO.

Chemical Guys Backlight with V07.
Pinnacle Souveran.
Quite a few that'll give great results, its been said, 'the pop is in the prep'.

+1:iagree: prep is the key. also try Collinite Marque DElegance Carnauba Paste Wax 915 top with 845.

Thats nice I did see that. I did seal the car with blackfire spray sealant.

What about the blue velvet dodo juice? I am really leaning towards this.

Fuzion....
Of course prep in the main key...

Nice looking Camaro!

Since Ashen Gray is the "color":

Have you ever considered using a sealant/carnuba-wax combo?

I've used the following sealants:
-Wolfgang DGPS
-Meg's 21 2.0
-Menz. PowerLock
-The Klasse Twins
-(You mention Blackfire Spray Sealant...I haven't used it)

Followed by one of these following carnuba/carnuba-based/hybrid waxes:
-Meg's M26
-3M Show Car
-Pinnacle Sig. Series II
-P21S/S100

With excellent results for a hue/tone-of-gray vehicle, such as yours.

BTW:
Some folks mentioned that "prep is key"...
It appears that's been done...:props:

:)

Yea the prep is done. It will be a yr that I have owned it mid April and it only has 1100 miles.

Collinite is my go to wax on my daily drivers since it lasts so long in bad weather but it doesn't have the "pop".

for this year I want to try for my crystal black car the Pete's 53 and Pinnacle signature

Fuzion loves dust, and it doesnt feel as slick as some other ones in the market. save your money and get something else

Dodo Juice Blue Velvet and then DJ Puple Haze on after. Looks slick!

I've used Purple Haze. It was ok, but I wasn't super impressed. I think Dodo's marketing / packaging is excellent, but their products are somewhat overpriced for what they are.

Their flagship wax, SuperNatural gets mixed reviews. Satsuma Rock is like 60 bucks for only 3 oz. I think their new sealant is like 25-30 bucks for only 100 mls. You can basically get 16 oz (473 mls) of Powerlock for the same price. Their wheel cleaners are really expensive as well, as long with 80 bucks for their new coating. (OptiCoat, CQuartz,)

I know it sounds like I'm trashing DDJ, but the price for Purple Haze Pro was high, and I just wasn't super impressed.

On the other hand, Souveran, Deep Gloss Liquid Seal, Powerlock, Pete's 53, P21S 100%, Naviwax Ultimate, Victoria Red, Glasur, and especially Fuzion all impressed me on dark - so I can see the difference.

In my experiance Fuzion dosent attract as much dust as others but I highly recommend Fuzion. Especially for a dark color or Black.

My black BMW's absolutely pop when wearing Fuzion. Put Souveran on top of Fuzion and the paint explodes with vibrancy.

I agree with this.
