took me about 2 month to decide to go for this training.
i choose one of the best out there , Tom Price with pdrcoach.

the training took place in Chicago, so i flew there, the course was 2 weeks.
i already got the tools , light hood stand , and 2 hoods for practice , one aluminum (Aston :xyxthumbs:) and one steel.
i plan practice on the hoods, but in about 3 months i should be able to add PDR to my services. sell point is when i inspect the car , i can point the dents out and add them to detail.
i will also advertise as dent removal service.
a few pic from the training.

Awesome!
PDR is sweet. I got door dinged a while back and it put a crease in it.
Trip to the PDR guy and $125 later and you can't tell it was ever there!

That's sweet. Always wanted to learn this.

Cosmin I admire your successful road so far. By the way I am glad you doing ok, I saw the thread of the car accident you had a while back.

Question... Afraid that it might cause noise after treatment. For
instance if it involves a door. Any feedback appreciated.

Thanks!

wholesale /dealer work , may drill in the door , so that may cause noise - improper repair.
if the job is done from window , or other access than should not be any noise.

Tool cost?

training 5k , airticket under 500 , 2 weeks hotel/motel under 1k , food around 300-500 ,cabs/ rental / bus depends , basic 30 tools kit around 1300 , accessories: hood stand , lamps, batt , lifter, glue gun , tabs , clips , glue, it may be around 1-2k.
i would say the whole fun is around 10k
i see it as investment. i may not have profit in the next 3-6 months , but after that if i am good and with the right marketing it will pay back and make profit too.

* i went with top notch tools , but you can get cheaper from craiglist.

After reading this post I Googled PDR training and tool cost. Thought it was high til I read more up on the actual aspect of the work and profit margins. Your 100% right as far as it being an investment. But like most things we do and buy relating to detailing. There's a big initial investment as well. It may not suck $10k out all at once. But you gotta pay to play. One Site mentioned about partnering with dealerships. My Dodge dealer has a guy that comes in once a week to their three locations. Charges $40 a panel (which is dirt cheap). But if you think about the amount of jobs he gets from them alone, sheesh. One car had a ding in the door, and another on the hood. $80.... Another one worse. Even if he did 10 cars a week from just the dealer he's making bread. Not to mention if he's got a good marketing plan. Thanks for the through pricing info. Definitely something I will be looking into in the future.

Mine was on the door. Just barely lower and forward of the mirror. Creased the door probably 5" long. He put his little air bag in the window slot and pumped it up just enough to get his tool in there. Put his tool in, worked on the dent for a little bit while I was eating some lunch. Hour and a half later I'm pulling out and you can't tell it was ever there.
No rattles, no body panels removed, no paint work, and most importantly no dent!
