Pad selection for Rupes 21? Stumped

Well, I have everything in the cart ready to go, except of course the selection of pads that are the bread and butter for this machine. I'm a bit stumped to be honest. I can't use any of my other pads, all are 5" Hybrids that went with my setup on my Flex 3401. Plus i'm selling it to pay for what It can on this order so the less use the better.

Anyhow, iv'e sifted through as much information searching and only found bits and pieces. Like MF Cutting most likely, but what brand? Foam for finishing? So I'm asking my fellow detailer's for your opinions!

5" Backing Plate
Washer Mod (still searching)

I use Meguiar's MF pads and a foam pads to finish with.

I've tried the megs mf cutting pad and it worked great with megs m100. I'll probably get the same pad but with menz pg400 because I prefer menz. I got a bunch of yellow and white rupes pads. I hear they work well with sonax perfect finish on soft paint so I went with that combo as I have soft paint.

That's what i'm leaning towards,MF Cutting pads (Optimum or Megs.. idk yet) and Foam for finishing. But still figuring out which set.

I just used the optimum mf pads and the fg400 on my impala roof and was very impressed. I have tried the megs and LC mf pads also. I hate th LC ones and the megs ones are good but i like the optimum ones the best. As for polishing go with foam. Ive used both the hybrid and hydro ones from LC and they both work great. U wont be disappointed with the rupes i like it a lot better then my flex. I now look forward to detailing were with the flex it was work. Now if the weather would only warm up so i could really start using it.

Heavy Correction/Hard CC's: Surbuf MF Pads
Normal Correction: Opt MF Cutting discs
Polishing: LC HydroTech Tangerine
Finishing: I guess either a Flat pad or Hydrotech finishing.

I just purchased about the same setup today. Rupes 21 with 5" backing plate. Instead of Optimum's I went with the Meguiars though. I will be using these with M101/M205/or the Blackfire Duo. We'll shall see how it goes.

I have not, the rupes is coming in the same order the pads do lol. Your MF / FG400 is the same as my plan, yet I don't wanna buy sonax just yet. Will finish down anything needed with 4500 for sure

Hmm.. Maybe ill just get some pads from CG for polishing/finishing.

I only got the sonax because I have heard that it worked great with the rupes pads on soft paint. If it's good enough for esoteric to use that combo on soft paint cars, then I hope that it'll work for me. It also has a 45 second total work time so thats a plus for me too.

I'll be trying the Rupes pads out sometime next week probably... excited to use them! And also excited to compare them to other pads, but that won't happen for probably a month or so

i used my Rupes 15 along with the rupes yellow pad w/ Sonax nano polish, i got great result.
i also liked how the rupes pad are bevel edged, i felt very comfortable using the pads....

PS: Esoteric is a rip off for PF, $60 a bottle and $10 shipping -_-

Yeah I know, but I could not resist. When you have a monopoly on a product you can rip everyone off. I want to try scholl, but it's also way too expensive from them.

Anyways Hmm, quite a bit of miss-match on the LC HT pads. Any other recommendations other than rupes pads and LC HT's?
