I have been lurking on here for a while. I recently introduced my self. Most questions I have thought of I have found simply by doing a search. Amazing how much info on this forum. I could spend hours here. Anyway I wanted to post my logo for my part time detailing business. I created this in corel. I have two of them. I decided to use my last name in the business name. I am pretty set on using my name. But I am debating about using "detailing" or "auto detailing" as you can see. This is just something simple, nothing fancy. Thanks for looking and I appreciate all feedback.

I would do Auto Detailing. Oh and this is an informative site, keep your ears and eyes open here, you'll learn a lot more.

I would just go with Detailing, personally. If your name says detailing people are going to assume you detail cars, plus it you do not want someone with a boat, RV, etc. to think that you don't detail anything but auto's.

Thanks everyone, for sure some things to consider. I really like the font I used in auto detailing. Looks so sharp. I'm really leaning towards that route.

I like the "auto detailing"........so lean a little harder and get off the fence.:D

I think that adding...........Services...........under Tull's Detailing...
(all "within" the boundaries of the ellipse)...in your logo's font, of course...

Would further define/outline your business-model.

I like the auto detailing as identifies what your focus is.

Something like this:

I really like this too. However I still like using just auto detailing so it's clearly obvious what I do. Decisions, decision.

Make sure you use auto. What is detailing?

:iagree: While you would want to stick to 'detailing' all by itself, you need to remember that for the most part.... the general public are freaking clueless. Walk up to a cashier in the grocery store and tell her you're a 'detailer' and see what she does. For that matter, pick the guy standing in front of you at the local burger joint. Again, he'll look at you like your hair is on fire.

Sure what you DO is 'detail' but until they here you say you are a "car detailer" you might not get their business. I don't know how many people I've told that we are gearing up a "detailing business" and they just look and nod and say "ooooooh ok". (Then follow that up with "car detailing" and you can see it in their faces, like a light going on over their head!

Drop it back down to the simple but descriptive form factor with "auto detailing". You want your logo to be easily read and understood - first and foremost. The dark colors will all blend together, so you don't want to add the problem of a potential customer trying to figure out what your logo actually said, on the t-shirt you were wearing or on the side of the truck you were driving. Remember, your logo is your representing mark and it is also your greatest salesman... when clean, clear, and professional.

I was thinking of this for my logo any thoughts?
Don't mean to hijack just wanted a quick opinion.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm going to use auto detailing. Soon I may try to post my menu for opinions. Not so much on prices since every area is different. But would like feedback on the style and fonts.
