So I need to purchase a strong small vacuum and a carpet cleaner. I dont want to spend more than $200 for both. I'm strongly leaning towards the Bissel proheat and I was just looking at a rigid portable vac.

Thoughts?

What are ya'll using?

Have a recommendations?

the pros will be using the top dollar products.. beyond the $600 range. but as a weekend warrior a lot of people have great results with the LB

I'm sorry I'm not familiar with the LB.

I hear that the lil green clean machine is a good device for those who are just into it as a hobby, I just use a wetdry vac

Just picked up Bissell's Littlegreen Proheat last month. Haven't used it on the car yet, but works good on the carpeted stairs in the house.
Have been using Sears 5hp Wet/dry shop vacuum for years in the cars.

I used the pro heat before I got my Mytee and still have it as back up. It works great I can post some picks of what it can do if you want.

I have been getting great results using the Bissell LGM and the Home Depot Rigid vacuum with the pro hose extension.

Check your local craigslist ads, I got mine for a steal.

Here are before and after with the pro heat.

Hey Todd, did you use a pre-cleaner and straight "heated" water or did you mix a solution in your proheat?

I pretreated with Folex and used a brush. I mixed captured in with the hot water. Captured you can buy from Home Depot very cheap and works great.
