In my opinion, as with all individual products vs all for ones in general... an individal detail spray (optimum instant detailer) is more potent and works better than ONR wash n wax..and OID aids in drying. Similar to using ONR and a seperate wax (OCW) vs. using ONRWW. Plus having dedicated products vs ONRWW you are able to use the product when and when ita not necessary. For ex if you just waxed the car with OCW you wouldnt need to use the more expensive ONRWW vs ONR to wash your car after that. Or if youre prepping the car to polish you wouldnt wash with a product with wax. ONRWW is a good product but its not the end all be all to eliminate dedicated products by optimum. Plus detailer is inexpensive, even at full retail for a gallon makes up to 5 gallons, and is about 9 cents an oz.

Whoa. I have a black car as well, a long time ago I have had some streaking in some conditions but not that bad. Two things, a little goes a long way. For ex. if streaking occurs you can spray water from a bottle on it and wipe and it will clear it up/help spread it out, streaking really comes from over application..its easy to see on a black car how little product is needed to spread over a large area as you can see it flash. Secondly, to avoid this I use optimum instant detailer at 1 part concentrate to 3.5-4 parts water.
 
I typically use V7 after every wash as a drying aid. It works great and certainly adds a slick feeling with good gloss enhancers.
 
Haven't used any similar products after a wash so I can't make a comparison. But I love V7, I use it after Blacklight and it's a killer combo. Whenever I detail someones car they love the shine, I follow up the towel test so they can see a towel fly across the hood onto the ground.

For some reason the towel thing seems to impress people. As for V7 it doesn't hurt that it goes on and comes off like nothing at all. I'm not interested in blow out my arm buffing out a product lol.
 
I tend to use my V7 with blacklight which does a great job on bringing out the gloss and beauty of the paint. V7 does tend to go off easily such as you said evaporate but I tend to spray it on the paint on the shade but direct sunlight I spray on the towel.
 
Are there any cleaning agents or abrasives in CG V7? I thought I read somewhere that it cleaned also. If that is the case, wouldn't it take off at least some of the wax or sealant underneath?
 
Both products makes your car look shiny, V7 gives that extra edge in terms of wet look, flake pop and clarity of paint. OID tends to streak a little and attracts dust. I use OID regularly as a drying aid, but for special occasions i pull out V7. But for the price, you can't beat OID, but lately i shifted to ONR as drying aid from OID, since it attracts less dust.
 
In this photo it is not streaking, but dust that collected on the OID side and not the side that was towel dried without OID

Is it fair to compare two products that differ so much in price?

Well like I mentioned before, both are nice, both are final QD. But I go for OID simply for the price and dilution ratio, which many OPT products offer. It is only too bad to say that UWW+ got an edge out in the waterless wash fight with Opti Clean.

Where you stand a few feet away from the hood and sling a towel and have it glide all the way across and fall off the other side. Similar to setting a bottle or something on the hood and having it slide down. Either of those or pouring some water out to demonstrate to a customer how slick their paint is after you've finished a detail.
 
Can V7 be worked in direct sunlight? spray on towel and then onto paint?

Really loved my poorboys QD+ because it worked in the sun..

My V7 i tryed on my jetblack porsche today was streaking a little.. I wasnt able to tell until i took the car out into the sun.. Sucks about doing things in the shade.
 
Well, dang! I've got a bottle of V7 sitting here collecting dust (pollen). Now that winter has left us (for the most part) the pollen should be outta' here in about another week or so. When I finally get to do a serious detail job, I'll definitely try the V7 and report back my findings.

Ohhh ok i was mistaken on what u meant/ thought it was streaking...buts its still possible the same thing applies (adding a little more water) which would eliminate the need to buff off really well (avoiding dust/streaks)
