I didn't see a spot to post this so I am doing it here. Previous to this week, after viewing a thread and either hitting F5 to refresh or (in the case of the Auto Detailing 101) I would just click the forum name to be taken back to that forum, the threads that I have looked at would turn a light color indicating that I had read it and no new posts had been added. Now it doesn't do that. It just stays a dark color indicating it hadn't been read but when I look at the thread I see that nothing has changed. Anybody have any idea why that is happening?

I always use the "New Posts" button in the middle of the menu ribbon near the top of the page.

I normally rather read a forum till done and then go on to the next. I do not necessarily want to read every post in every forum. And by the way, this thread is acting exactly the same as mentioned above.

It looks like it is local to my computer at work. At home it works as it is supposed to. Is there some setting that I can fix for this?

I don't want to read every thread either, but using the "New Posts" button lets me see what threads have been added to since the last time I was at AGO, then I decide which if any I want to read. I know which ones I've read because those aren't bold anymore.

It sounds like a browser issue, what browser are you using at work?

Same one as at home, and the only one I use, Firefox.

So when you are done reading the forum, go to the upper right of the menu bar at the top of the page and click on "quick links" and select "Mark Forums Read".

This gives you better control over what you have and haven't read and helps prevent you from missing stuff or reading it twice.

The problem is when I have a page of stuff to read, and maybe a thread is two or three pages long, after I go thru three or four of them then I start wondering what I read. I know, short term memory loss, but that is why I like the thread to mark them read when I refresh. After I have read them all it doesn't matter.
