AIO Results??

So I did my first detail w/AIO polish (Meg's D151) on a 2010 Ford F-150 Harley Davidson Edition, and wanted to discuss some of the results w/everyone. Since I have PPD (Perfect Paint Disorder), I tried my best to hide all the swirls, but noticed that although D151 hid 85-90% of the swirls, there were still some there...although the paint was glossy afterwards. I'm just wondering, should I be expecting AIOs like D151 to hide everything, or should I be fine with it hiding 75-90% of the paint, but making the paint shine??

D151 doesn't hide swirls, it removes them. It's not going to give you the results of multiple polishing steps but it does a great job. It has a little more cut than M205.

Actually D151 does both polish swirls out and fill them with its oils. If you got 75% filled, you should be happy, perfection does not come in a single bottle.

Although it's not the most aggressive when it comes cut it does a very good job removing swirls and scratches. If your getting 75-90 perecent out then I would say that's great for D151. If you want a total removal then a dedicated compound then a finishing polish would be in order followed by and LSP.

I don't believe you mentioned the application-method of D151 that you used.
Or, that a "Test Spot" process was utilized.

-D1251 is pretty universal and can be used with pads having different
levels of "cut" to remove paint imperfections.
-It is also compatible with both Rotaries and DA's/RO's.

-That's some of the reasons Meguiar's calls PRC-D151:
"The Fully Adjustable Polish"!

IMO...In order for your PPD to receive some additional abatement:
You may want to move from the "least aggressive"...up the ladder a little bit at a time...
to a sequence of "more aggressive" pad/machine combos (if necessary)...
On the "Test Spot" first, of course.

Thanks Bob, especially since it was my first time, I did not know what to expect with the results...I partnered D151 w/ a yellow cutting pad.
