I've been searching around a bit, and thought I would pass this along. There are a bunch of different CRM's (customer relationship management) out there. I have tried several, but all seem more sales driven than customer management.

I decided to just keep it basic. I just want a way to keep track of my customers, their cars, and what I've done to them, all on my iphone.

I ended up finding a mobile app called Groups. It's free, and basically works just like contacts on your phone.

I created a group for my customers, then I enter each contact with their info and photo. I'm just using the notes field to add detailing dates and services (ie: March 2013 - Full Detail) and other info like "this customer is a bit high maint" or whatever.

I am using the Company field as their vehicle info "2005 Ford Mustang GT", so their listing shows up like:

John Doe
2005 Ford Mustang GT

You can send group messages pretty easily for specials/marketing.

This is also nice for Caller ID for repeat customers so you know who's calling and can reference previous stuff.

Anyway, thought I'd pass it along.

This is the NEW VERSION, $4.99. I found the old version in the app store for FREE.

I love Zoho CRM. Its great and they have a free version. Check it out

Do you use the leads and potentials part of it? That's some of the stuff I didn't like. At least currently, I'm not doing cold calls and prospecting for clients, so that stuff that's pretty sales-cycle driven isn't of much use to me.

I don't use potentials but I do use leads. Leads are just calls I get and capture their inform to send emails and things in the future. Once they have a service performed I convert them to contacts.

I can go into contacts and make events for that contact so I can have all of their services documented. It also has a mobile app.

It's a great tool. I don't think it's sales driven but sales oriented, which most successful business must embrace to advance to a certain level.

Hope that helps!

Thanks for the clarification!

I downloaded it, and will check it out, thanks. My other job is building websites and mobile apps, so I'm always thinking of apps to build if I can't find one that does what I want.

My pleasure. Let me know how you like it after awhile. I plan on upgrading in the future to a paid version. I also tried SugarCRM and it was great but expensive.

I'm going to try Zoho out as well. It never hurts to be better organized.

Downloaded. We use a lot of CRM based applications here at my job.

Thanks for the tip.
