Northern Virginia team detail anyone?

I found a sitter for Colt for the 24th so I'm going to make the trip again. This time I'll be able to actually help on the detailing.:righton:

Could someone please PM me the address and a list of anything I should bring with me?

Any Idea of what we'll be working on?

I am working on getting a generator and canopy to try and emulate what it's like in a mobile detailing environment.

I can bring my generator if you like? It will handle anything you'll need to do, 4-110 v. recepticles, 1-220 v. recepticle and 8550 peak watts of power.

Sweet! No ideas as to what we will be working on yet. Of course, it will have to be a trashed out vehicle. I may have a few candidates for testing. Wetsanding anyone?

I will PM you details. The Generator would be awesome as we could have more people working outside and the garage won't be as crowded as it's so small to fit everyone.

As for what to bring. You could never have enough polishers and pads. Very glad you are planning to make the trip Dave. :dblthumb2:

OK. I guess I'll be bringing the van this time. I'll load up the generator and maybe even a 20 gallon air compressor so I can work "as normal" with the microfiber pads and my trusty HF DA polisher. Just for kicks, maybe we can have a HF vs. Rupes shootout on a 50/50 work area.

I'll bring my G110V2 geared up with some damp sanding supplies just in case we do get something seriously trashed that can be used to demonstrate how quickly correction can be accomplished with 3K sanding disks combined with DA MF compounding/polishing.

I don't intend on kicking any rocks this time....;)

Dave you should pick me up if you've got room in the van. :)

I'll just have my bag or two with my polisher and pads.

That way it doesn't take me the "legal" amount of time to get there.

We'll miss Colt but at least this time we'll get to eat our hot dogs lol

Jake - or whoever - once we get a vehicle or two picked out let me know if the headlights need done. I've been doing those up here pretty successfully and just got some new stuff to do them with. More before/after pictures are always good.

I have no problem picking you up but I won't be cutting the day short. If you're riding with the big boys all other plans go to the wayside. Make sure you clear that with wifey because once I pick you up, you'll be riding home with me and the cows. If you still want to ride with me after reading this reply, text me your address for my GPS.

That's what I'm talking about Dave! No time for nonsense, time to destroy some swirls!

Kyle, headlight kit is cool. I'll find some heavy oxidized ones for you to work on.

Thanks Jake, looking forward to it. Here's a set I did yesterday:

Here's some pics from the quick meetup Friday night. We tackled this a couple hours after my team up with Matt.

Do you happen to have any pics you could post up? I wouldn't mind correcting the E36!

Probably hard to see. But ive only had her since June 1st and only have had a garage since July 3rd. I've managed to get the holograms off but the swirls I can't make a dent in. Probably product. Meg's ultimate compound on an orange LC pad.

I can try and get some better shots in the sun tomorrow. And yes I love this car. 171000 miles and runs perfect and the color is black in some light, gray in others and even blue at times. Sorry ill quit gushing on it.
