I was eyeing the Dynabrade Head that can change from orbital to forced rotation Flex style. I know Tuscarora likes his even though it wasnt the switching one and its cheaper then a flex with a bigger throw ( I want to say its like 19mm on the Dynabrade head) not quite a Rupes but with that throw and forced rotation it should be a beast so hopefully i'll have that to share when I get back. I'm definitly thinkin hard about tryin all of the new black label stuff as well but I'm sure most of you guys will have tried it before I get back anyway.

My jeep has minor swirls it hasnt been polished for over a year but the rock chips are what kills me and I think I may try the Dr. Colorchip road rash kit, so anyone lookin to try their hand with that would be more than welcome when I get back.

:righton:

The Dynabrade attachment that switches, in the locked or "switched" position is nothing like the action of a Flex forced rotation (3401) polisher. It just locks in an offset position and will spin in that offset position as fast as the rotary polisher will spin it. Imagine a 3000 RPM forced orbit.

I hate the thought of the damage that could do if it get's away from you.

Google "kevin brown, dynabrade attachment" to find lots of "KB" style in depth info and food for thought on the Dynabrade locking attachment.

awesome, perhaps you can show me what I was doing wrong with the reflect.

Ceramiclear..??..!!! Oh No!!!
Gonna break out the rotary Jake?

Unfortunately I do not own a rotary...yet. I have the bumblebee (Dewalt 849x) in my sight.

The last Benz I did was horrible. I spent about 30 hours correcting the paint using Meg's MF cutting pad, Rupes 21, and M101 then finished up with Wolfgang Uber on a green BnS pad.

Many will ask me why I would use a compound like WGUC3.0, it's only because it finished very well for me on a foam pad after cutting with M101.

Bummer. I'm over here missing my team.

Well, let me know if any of you need a hand. I'll turn on swirl destroyer mode.

Ferrari Testarossa which sits next to the Viper this weekend if your around :dblthumb2:

Single stage paint FTW

Bring that Ceramiclear up here to Etters PA and we'll have a "rotary detailing day in South Central PA".

I don't think reflect is going to cut it. (pun intended)
In my limited experience with different compounds, not many compounds will "cut it". M-105 will cut it but fast cutting with it is very dependent on technique w/rotary/wool.

Agreed.

We will need to set up a detail day in PA at your shop. I'm currently working on cleaning up the garage and renovating it with new lights, scissor lift, and cabinets.

Dang y'all. I wasn't quite planning on full paint correction. It's an 08 so that has the ceramiclear or whatever? I haven't seen any stickers or anything describing it.

If your color code has a "C" in it, you have ceramiclear.

And never settle for less. I love full restos.

I was thinking of hitting it with the uber I have left with a MF cutting pad, play a bit with the reflect then topping with max wax

I have more Uber for the samples that were handed out last time, if anyone needs to top off.

I just moved to the area but have been following this thread for a couple of months now; just wondering if the monthly meets will continue through the winter. I'm a novice and I'd love to get some tips from some of the more experienced guys in the area.

Any plans for a December meet?

Hmm I will definitly have to look up the KB info on the Dynabrade head I really thought it went from forced rotation to DA. That does change it a bit. The research continues!
