I had the pleasure of detailing this freak'en awesome car for a very nice awesome guy. As we were going over it he asked if I wanted a ride and I said YES! So we tore up the neighborhood and the he let me drive it! It accelerates so smooth and fast. Also when you remove your foot off the accelerator it slows down, so cool.
As you approach the car the door handles come out of the door, so cool.
So move over Veyron, Bentley and Ferrari! This is now my favorite car!

Back to the work part of my day.
This car was literally flawless! I had an extremely hard time finding the 10 or so Minor scratches in the paint so I didn't polish it to save my customer some money.
Waterless Wash, Speedy Prep towel, ISA 20% then I installed Opti-Coat on the paint and rims.

Engine compartment? No, it's called a "Frunk" (front trunk)

The huge trunk

Would be nice to see if this could be the future, maybe we can get electric cars that could go thousands of miles or gas cars/diesel. Would be really nice, I also like the fact that tesla adds and front and back trunk, making skeptics be shut down about trunk space

WOW cool car what's the price range on this make and model? This can be a perfect Mobile detail rig with the customer providing water and energy source.

^^^ lol, no on the detail rig idea. Those electric trucks are coming. we just have to be patient.
This one had some additions and my customer paid $85K. As of now this is the most popular selling Luxury Sedan right now. So hopfully you all will experiance these soon.

Nice work on the Tesla.

I had the opportunity to drive a fully kitted green Tesla Roadster. It was driven up from L.A. to Las Vegas to demonstrate to our local BMWCCA. It is an unbelievable driving experience.

'lectric car...

... In the rain. :O

I want to see the look on the owners face when it actually does rain for the first time on his ride. is the owner on a maintenance schedule with you? nows the time to hook'em in.

I had the honor of detailing production #3 of the Founder's edition. Very cool car indeed. My favorite part was actually the key fob.

Congrats on working on such a significant vehicle! Those have a crazy amount of tech in them, very impressive machines.
I wonder if the slowing down while not accelerating is because of the battery's self regenerative system.. :dunno:

That key is very neat, it reminds me of the Pagani Huayra key:

(If any Autogeeks ever get to work on one I expect multiple pages of pictures )

Sooo jealous! I only drove it around the neighborhood. I didn't want to get back into my fossil fueled, internal combustion, ozone departing machine.
The Feeling of this car is like advancing as a human. I can't wait until we see more of these wonderful cool cars in the future.

I don't think the rain is a problem.
Also he's my customer from now on. We got along great.

That's very cool you did #3. The fob/car, did the car scare you when you walked around it and you forgot about the door handles? lol, I get in such a zone when I detail, I jumped a few times that day. "It's alive!"

Yes very techie, it's like it's alive/robot.
and yes the "power reduction" when the pedal is released does generate power. I'm thinking this would be a great freeway car. You can keep one foot on the accelerator and slow down without taking your foot off the pedal.

Paganit Huayrat key is very cool. Thanks for sharing that.
