So I have a pretty large east coast car show I'm getting ready for. This car was not taken care of very well by the previous owner so I have started prepping for the show a couple weeks in advance. I will be representing Autogeek so I have a lot of work to do.

I've never seen a forester look so mean... should look great when it is all cleaned up :)

Thanks guys! Yea it gets a lot of looks just because it's different. This is my first almost "restoration" detail of a car before a show. I'm used to dealing with decent starting points.

So far, my assessment includes many paint chips, severely swirled spoiler and roof rails (from the wind), and what looks like some overspray/paint spill on the hood. I'm not sure how I'm gonna tackle the paint.

It's a 3.5" drop from stock BTW.

There is an EXACT Forestor here in Houston (Texas) that looks just like yours lol except the guy is a bit lower

I like the look of your Forester. Are you going for the STI look?

It's 100% stock except the lowering. It sits on 2004 STI struts. It's a 2008 Forester Sports XT which is the 10th anniversary edition. It came with Enkei STI wheels and STI front lip along with blacked out headlights and taillights.

Those forestors have potential

I've seen many slammed and stanced very nice

Not yet. It's going to be over the next week or so as I'm currently in my exam weeks, working a full time job, with a 20 month old son to take care of.

Washed and clayed.

Had this scratch from a shopping cart. Used the Pinnacle Paintwork Cleansing Lotion last night. Very good product. Got most of this scratch out with a little elbow grease added.

AFTER just the paintwork lotion

I'll be hand waxing the car tonight with Souverän™ Paste Wax and then finishing off with the Pinnacle Crystal Mist Carnauba Detail Spray. The shine off the car even just after the lotion is amazing. I can't wait to see it tonight and tomorrow in the sunlight.

If you don't mind me asking which car show are you going to? Doesn't happen to be Import Alliance in KY?

No. Springfest 2013 in Virginia Beach. Weather pending. I'll be pissed if it rains tomorrow.

So here's the finished product.

The scratch is 100% gone!

Good reflection in a grey paint job.

So I have to say the Pinnacle products are amazing! The finish on the car after the waxing was like glass, felt and looked almost wet still. Even after raining twice at the show, a quick wipe down and it looked perfect again. I received so many compliments at the show about the finish on the car. Even convinced a local private detailer to start buying from Autogeek. Here's a couple shots from the show.

I forgot to mention this was all done by hand.
