Who uses flannel sheets to remove wax?

I waxed my car yesterday and, coincidentally, was ready to throw out some old flannel sheets that have seen their last winter. They were well worn but very soft, especially the pillow cases. I decided to wash the cases in BF microfiber cleaner and restorer and use them to remove my second and final coat of wax. I must say, I was pleasantly surprised at how well they did the job - as good as my microfiber towels. I then used part of a sheet to give a final buff and it produced a great shine, again, as good as a microfiber. I was just wondering if anyone else has recycled their old flannel sheets this way?

I have thousands of dollars of MF towels, don't tell me I can be using old bed sheets instead. Next thing you'll be telling me my expensive Korean MF's come from NORTH Korea! :p

Oh come on, like I'm the only one. They used to be a lot more expensive than they are now.

Either your not married or you are really good at hiding them.

I let my wife use them on her car, so she cuts me some slack. Besides, I bought her some purple Cobra's and she has her purple WW's from ACC from before the dawn of time.

-Doesn't everyone use 'flannel' sheets...even old 'flannel' shirts?

-Are you like me and find them to be less expensive than the flannel that Zaino sells?

:D

Whatever, but the flannel sheets do work pretty well. I won't replace my microfiber towel assortment with the sheets of course but they do work. In fact, after I started the thread earlier today I went out and put a third coat of wax just on the hood to try the sheets again. I cut and folded them up into rather thick squares (about four layers thick) and the wax came right off and buffed down beautifully. And this was Griot's Premium Carnauba Paste Wax, which is not the easiest of all waxes to work with. I guess all I'm saying is there's more than one way to skin a cat.

Sheesh, don't have a canary, or a flannel, or whatever, we're just kidding around a little.

That's true!

I used several different types of "cloths" for car care
before MF-towels came into existence for said car-care.

I've never even heard of flannel sheets.......didn't know such a thing existed!

+1
Last weekend I removed my wife's fingernail marks from under the passenger door handle with some Duragloss 501 and an old pair of my Hanes briefs.

What....did flannel go out with grunge, LOL!
