What pad size when applying wax via DA?

I've seen a lot of people use 4" pads when applying wax to their cars after they completed their correction. Is there a reason for this or does it really not matter?
 
I use whatever size pad I use for the correction, which is typically 5.5".
 
I use 5.5 so it'll be faster. 4 inch pad would be better of you have a lot of tight spot. I'll just get those spot with an applicator pad.
 
I use a 6" blue pad. Just because I bought a few when I got my GG6. I don't use 6" pads for much now, so there's no real reason other than I have them.

I will be getting some 5.5" blue pads so I won't have to change backing plates to wax after polishing. I'd just use whatever size you routinely use to polish, keep things simple.
 
Yeah, basically whatever works for you. The bigger the pad, the less work you need to do. Of course, a huge pad won't fit in tight spots, so there is a balance. But, to really answer your question, it makes no difference if you use a small pad or a large one. It's all about the job and the result when you're done.
 
with wax, you're moving across the surface pretty fast so size isn't as much of an issue. but if you can't fit a 5.5" pad into your can of wax, then use something smaller.
