This is my wife's DD a 2000 Nissan Pathfinder with 245,000 miles on it (she refuses to let me get her another car). While she was away for a few days I took off a few days from work and detailed the exterior of her car. I'm sorry I don't have a lot of pics. Or a long story but I will say it took me a long time to finish (and I still have more to do).

It took a whole lot of hours. Thanks for watching. I promise I'll get better at post and pics and reviews.

Still, what a huge difference in the before and after quality, very well done! :props:

Great job. A shine like that doesnt come easy.

lol I like the "special effects" in your post

Wow, great work! What did the wife say?

She had just got home from a trip to Jamaica with her friends. She was surprised and said "Wow, what a difference". Then she looked at me and said "if only I could get you to help clean house with so much energy".

Great work,, I'd love to know your steps.

Wash: Megs Gold Class Shampoo
Compound: PB SSR3
Polish: Pinnacle Total Swirl Remover
Glaze: PB Black Hole
Sealant: GG Paint Sealant
Trim: PB Trim Restorer
Wheel Wells: CG Bare Bones

I plan to put a coat of PB Nattys Red Wax on it this weekend.

I didn't like the shot of the clearcoat failure so here it is from another angle.

Like I said, I have more work to do on this thing. Where I live there was a lot of pollen in the air so to do the glaze I had to go to the car wash lot where there were no trees (about a half mile away). This car is kind of like my learning curve.

Holy cow you used SSR3 on that thing?? Isn't that rocks-in-a-bottle, or have they changed it from when I got my bottle? (which was a long time ago)

Yeah, it's wet sanding in a bottle. I caught the BOGO recently and figured since I have the product, I may as well use it. I think Megs. is better though.

An old school compound that hazes like a mofo, looks like you cleaned up the hazing ok with your polish, glad the wife was (sort of) happy!

I've been getting so many AG orders that I was able to use the Pinnacle sample bottles that I had. One bottle did most of the car. I think I used 1 3/4 bottles of Total Swirl Remover. I liked it enough to order a real bottle of it (okay, so there is my OCD again, I couldn't help it).

I try to do a few things she wants during the week after work so that she'll leave me alone on the weekends.

Wow....that red is really RED! Great work!!
