Torn on whether or not to buy the PC 7424XP. Details inside.

Nice collection, how do you clean them after use?

Most of the products we use today are water based meaning they're easily dissoluble with a light all purpose cleaner. I apply 3 or 4 sprays to a terrycloth towel then wipe everything away.

This is the first rotary I bought and as you can see never worried about cleaning it...

Just for the hell of it I should try to clean this up and add it along side my current lineup...:props:

Bobby, you're just missing a rupes in that nice collection you got lol

Maybe in time.....:props:

Some people collect stamps, you collect polishers. I thought I was crazy to have more than one polisher. Thanks Bobby, you just gave me the license I needed. LOL

One is never enough.
Two is marginal to say the least
Three is more comforting
Four is variety
Five is just about right
Six is a perfect balance..

I have 4 DAs, 5th one on the way. I'm afraid of the orbitals.

Do you mean rotaries?

Rotary machines are a dream to work with and are not the monsters they're made out to be. A few simple basic things to be aware of is all that's needed and you'll be surprised to see how nice their results are...

Thanks to everyone and their responses, I ended up going with the GG! Does anyone have any tips or extra accessories I should get? Since this comes with a 6" backing plate should I still buy a 5" one? Also, which pads are best for the GG's?

Your right, I meant rotaries and if I find out their easier to use that I thought, I'll end up buying a couple. Bobby, you're not helping me at all. LOL

I like the 5" hex logic pads. I get them from CG.

I like the rotary, but I am happy with my PC,

I recommend if one does get a rotary, they also guy buy panels from a junk yard. An learn how and why it's so easy to burn paint. Pressure, speed, angles technique, but once one learns it. It will be come second nature.

Example: Sure you can cut yourself with a scalpel if not used properly, but learn how to use it and you can really get in there to get the job done.

Idk just my thoughts may be wrong.

What would be the benefits of Rotary like a Dewalt vs a DA like a PC?

It might take me longer but i like the safety of it and since quality is more important to me than quantity. I don't really see the drawbacks of my PC.

I would get the better tool. You are going to have it for a really long time, so get the better one so you will be pleased for years instead of wishing you got the other one.

The PC is available locally at my Home Depot where I have a credit card, whereas the GG is not. It's also almost $15 cheaper with a promo code than the GG is wherever I would be able to buy it.

My question is, will the PC 7424xp do the job just as well as the GG? All I see is people recommending the GG over the PC because of the extra power and torque but how big of a difference is it? And is it really necessary? If you guys could please add some input to this I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
I've only had experience with the 7424XP and it is JUNK. Don't waste your money. It'll vibrate your arm to death. Takes all the fun out of detailing.
