Hi all, I got a new car yesterday and it came with the "protection package" aka ugly azz side moldings. Today me and the wife took those off and did the best taking the glue off with BF apc.

Also the pin stripe glue is a bear to remove. Any tips?

I got a little bottle of Griot's Garage Adhesive Remover included in my free gift from here a while back and I tested it out on a couple of different residues and it worked faster and cleaned up easier than Goo Gone or Goof Off ever have for me. I'd definitely suggest trying it out, it might even be available OTC at an Advanced Auto Parts near you.

Tarminator is my goto but WD40 works great too.

Thanks gents I will try WD40 or goo gone first then go to the 3m wheel.

Try M600 solvent. You can buy it at your local paint store.

I use it to remove the adhesive on the body when I am taking off a clear bra and the "glue" section delaminates and gets stuck on the car.

Thanks man. Didnt get the C63 :( wife didnt think it was a family hauler.....

I've used the 3m wheel and it works great. Only problem I had was etching that the glue put in the paint. I actually needed to wet sand in order to get it out.
