Here is the Range Rover that I posted about in the other Range Rover thread saying that I had one coming in for some work. This also belongs to the same guy that I detailed the white 645i BMW for. This Range Rover is his daily driver and serves him well. Man was it enjoyable to work on such a nice vehicle. It has a very nice seating position with excellent outward visibility. When you climb inside of it it feels as if you are climbing into a well appointed leather wrapped chariot full of all the amenities to make the drive that much more enjoyable.

Speaking of enjoyable this one was equipped with a full air ride suspension from the factory (Terrain Control) and you could manually raise and lower the vehicle to 3 different height settings. When raised from full drop to full lift I would say there is at least 6 inches of travel. Perfect for detailers making it easier for us to work on the vehicle. Raised fully you have un obstructive access to the wheel wells, wheels and whatever else you may need to work on. This also makes it easier to dress the wheel liners. Drop it as far down as it will go and now it makes it easier to reach across the hood while making your section passes without the need for work platform. One will still be needed for the rough however.

This job was a weekend project for me as I worked on it from top to bottom. I had roughly 16 hours into it and when I was finished I was wore out. I didn’t get as many after pictures as I would have liked as the owner was running a bit late on pickup time and when it was received he had to run. Never the less he was ecstatic with the outcome. I don’t have the engine before or afters so bear with me. Also didn’t get good interior shots.

A few Iron-X shots. After being foamed with Snow Foam im sure that took up some decontamintation. Never the less Iron-X spray still had some reaction.

Here is the clay after the hood. Still a fair amount of pick up after the Snow Foam and Iron-X spray.

Now with the washing and prep completed Saturday night, it was time to move it outside and get the completed interior shots....

How cool is this for a welcoming light when you open the door!!!!! This is added as an aftermarket bulb.

With the correction and polishing work finished it was time for the after shots as the owner was picking up the vehicle.

Here the suspension is cranked all the way down making it easier to work on this truck.
