Why I will never pay more than $20 for a wax!

My favorite thing to do lately, is top dg 111 with the Zymol Carbon, or Megs #26. I have been on a sealant kick lately though. I did my neighbor's daughter's car with dg 501, and it turned out great. My bosses Lincoln MKS in 111 last year, and his daughter's Mariner in 101. Wow. Looks like I really like Duragloss products! They just work for me.

I'm new to the detailing thing. I've always taken care of my cars but not to the extent of using GOOD washing and detailing techniques. But I always washed and waxed my cars..... with OTC products. I just never knew the right ways to do things.

Recently I've tried some better products and Duragloss has wound up right at the top of my list. True, I've never used any of the much more expensive waxes/sealants/preps but I don't see the need. For me the looks that I get with the DG products for the cost of the products is a great combination.

Welcome to all the noobs to DG and to make your experience even better, pick up some #601 polish bonding agent and mix some in at a 4:1 ratio (4 parts main product and 1 part #601). What it does it let's you layer a 2nd or even 3rd coat right over each other, also adds to durability of the main product. Those 2 oz bottles are available at your local arts and crafts store, or save your free sample bottles from AG.

Adding to the DG line-up is the just released DG squeaky clean, product to be used after claying toremove any oils or leftovers in the paint, there's a new thread for it and I would've added it here but I'm on my phone, check that link out for all the info on what's going to be another hit for DG!

I see someone spoke about DG #101 and its an often overlooked product in the line-up but it has its place as it gives the looks of a nuba but is a sealant, good choice using it and like I said earlier, add that #601 to make it even better!

Done and done! 601 will be on my next order. Yes, 101 is probably the one I actually use most. Come to think of it, I also did my sister's mini cooper in 101 as well.

Thanks for the tip, Klasse Act!

It's an 09, black roof, and white body. Oh yeah! 111, 501, and Aquawax is already in my possession! 111 is spectacular, probably one of my most favorite of all detailing products. I hear 105 is nice. I'll probably order some with the 601. It's good to know there is someone who is well versed with the dg line up!

Ha ha, not only did they pick up Rain Dance, but Rally and No. 7 products. All they need now is Kit.

Funny, but I still think #7 is the best car soap I ever used. I remember my dad using it when I was a kid back in the late 70's- early 80's. I remember finding a few cans in a 5 and 10 store in Long Beach Island, NJ. Yep, bought them all. Can't find it anymore though.

I got a kick out of the first post. Paint corrected to perfection looks great with almost any LSP. :xyxthumbs:

I don't know what kind of reaction you're looking to get out of this crowd with a title like that.

That's like walking into Ruth's Chris steakhouse and declaring you'll never pay more than Ponderosa steak prices.

Is Ponderosa still around, LOL! I remember that place as well as Bonanza. Used to go to Ruth's Chris every year for my wedding anniversary, divorced since Jan of 2008 but getting married this Sept, time to start the tradition up again, miss hearing that sizzle coming from across the room, just don't accidently touch that plate!

I hope for everyone's sake that all Ponderosa's are now closed. Who knew yak meat could taste so bad?

Sorry to hear about the divorce, especially since it cost you a least 6 delicious steaks. Congrats on the new bride and the start of another cool tradition though. Jealousy is filling my heart since we don't have a Ruth's Chris where I live.

Remember to ask for extra steak butter....the most mouth-watering heart attack on a plate. :hungry:

Thanks for the early congrats and I'm sorry there isn't a Ruth's Chris near you, there's 3 here in Chicagoland but only one back home in Michigan, I was lucky there because it was in Troy Michigan, so not more than 45 minutes away. This thread has now made me VERY hungry, the garlic mash potatoes there.....OMG, then there's the creamed spinach....OMG, finishing up with their creme bu lay (spelling) garnished with 7 different fruits!

So true, but then there's the second mortgage on the house to pay the bill. It was always nice to go there when entertaining customers and on an expense account.

What happens if you touch that plate? Lol

They keep the plates in a seperate oven at temps of 500 degrees. Once your steak is done the place it on one of those plates and bring it to you right away, this ensures your last bite is as hot as your first bite and it really is! I was told about the plate my first time but you know how you wanna re-position your plate sometimes, well, I only did that once, my first time! The side of my index finger was pretty red but nothing too serious but something I have remembered since 1998!

here's a guy-to-guy FYI.......

DO NOT tell your new wife (congrats on the uncoming nuptuals) that going to Ruth's was a tradition with your ex
