Tire Gels

What are other dressings that work for both tire and trim that can dilute to different finishes?

Hyper dressing is on my next order but if there's something better lmk

Any one knows how long opit-bond would last? I've heard it wont last very long? Then how long is it generally? I am thinking about adding it to my next purchase

I've had opti-bond last anywhere from 2-4 weeks depending on the weather.

Otc- armour all tire gel, if I'm in a bind this gets the job done.

I have used the Armor All Gel before and it's actually not bad, gives a nice shine and goes on easy, plus it can be found at the local store. This is the only Armor All product i'd recommend though...

I use the Poorboy's Bold & Bright Tire shine, it's water based but super easy to apply and spread.

Ultima tire and trim. Nice flat black tires long lasting, and works great on trim

Depends on the type of finish your looking for. I've tried most of the advanced auto parts and such (hardly qualifies me for an opion), but like Auto Finesse Satin - Tire Gel. Gives a nice matte finish makes the tire look new, but not stupid wet. IMO it's a much cleaner look and absolutley does not sling.

Vote for DP gel as it is economical (usually a favorite on BOGO) and gives a nice finish. Not very glossy.

To those that use Meguiars Endurance Gel do you find it attacts more dust than water based gels such as Optimum, Poorboy's or PERL?

i have been using wolfgang tire gel as of late. no complaints. heard good things about the DP tire gel. so have the 32oz in reserve. biggest improvement for me was the CARRAND tire brush applicator! makes the world of difference when applying tire gels!

Carrand Brush & Shine Tire Dressing Applicators, tire brush, tire shine applicator

The Carrand brush are the BOMB! A little pain to clean but are they supposed to be clean :)

I did experiment cleaning them using homemade detergent... no exactly a success, but I haven't found anything so far that makes it easy to clean them (after using them with tire gel).

(check out the last experiment) http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/product-reviews/64831-review-part-three-homemade-soap-polishing-pads-bonus-included.html
