Hey all. Marvin here from OC. I'm 19. I have an 03 VW GTI that I just bought. I have been surfing the forums for quite a while but I now decided to make an account. I have a few questions about my paint and if I should even bother saving it. I believe this damage is beyond repair. Included are some pics. Also, I want to start taking good care of my car with new methods that i have seen. 2 bucket wash, then maintain with ONRWW. Should I take advantage of the shipping? Hope to learn more!



The damage is mainly on the hood. There are some spots on the roof that are damaged but not this bad.

I'm not too sure. Just bought the car a month ago and had PlastiDip on the hood. Previous owner said hood was fine, but once i removed the PlastiDip this is what I found. Im thinking it clearcoat failure.

Yes that's probably the reason. I was just trying to save some money but the car might just need a respray. I was also thinking of practicing on my car since the paint isn't in best shape.
But idk where to start.
